I find noise, especially music, to be more therapeutic than silence. When I am trying to do something that I really need to concentrate on in silence, I find my mind tends to wander and I don't get achieved that which I want to.

The Meyers-Briggs has me has an introvert and perhaps to those that only casually know me that is correct but once I'm comfortable around certain people I tend to be more of an extrovert.

A. Silence. I love noise, but when it comes to being therapeutic, I value my alone time quite a bit. But I can't stand silence if there's other people around.
B. I'm an introverted extrovert. Meaning I'm very outgoing but keep certain things to myself.

Silence...introvert.

I can't stand silence--I find it to be deafening. Likewise, I can't tolerate things like barking dogs, fighting neighbors, slamming doors, etc. My therapy is music, and amazingly, the louder the better.

I'm more of an introvert, but occasionally I get a really outgoing streak. When that happens, look out, because I tend to go to extremes.

Neither label completely fits me. I'd say I'm somewhere in between.

Silence is much more therapeutic for me. I am easily distracted by sounds and when I want to relax or want to unwind or want to think the best thing to do is go to a quiet place.

I tend to be an introvert.

most of the time silence is better, but sometimes music is what the doctor ordered. Extravert and introvert are not terms for the spiritually minded, but for competitive, worldly types. Is a monk who takes a vow of silence an introvert? Or is he seeking deliverance from the worldly mind? From the mind of delusion? An extrovert to me reminds me of some back-slapping insincere politician. "HOW YA DOING, HAW, HAW, YOU OLD RATTLESNAKE YOU !!!!!!!"

Generally, silence. But every once in awhile I need to crank up Godsmack or something like that.

I am probably more of an introvert.
