You will find that, in Conservative Christianity, as well as Muslims, Women take the brunt of blame for all things that go wrong. Women are the ones to blame for being raped, for 'luring men" into unholy communions, etc. These groups are run by insane men..that is obvious, men who refuse to take any responsibility for their actions.

A BA with a concentration in homemaking? When did homemaking become so difficult? Did I miss something? Wash dishes, do laundry, mop floor, follow recipe so on and so forth. I do it everyday and hold a full time job. This takes a college education? I'm not knocking homemakers, it's an important task for a male or female, but it seems to me that this is more of a proclamation of their beliefs (as the course is only for women) than a serious area for concentrated education. What a bunch of hooey.

When a few facts are ignored, it is pretty easy to blame women for a lot of things.

Example, yes Conservative Christians would blame women for the collapse of family...but perhaps the men should not have been showing how tempting a life outside the home should be. Perhaps business shouldn't be so profit driven as to require two income families in the first place. Perhaps religions should stop worry about who caused the problem and we need to work on better ways to raise the children now.

OK, TROLL... I'll play too... It's your cultural Marxism (a la Marcuse, Adorno, Garmsci, Alinski) we blame for destroying the best country on earth. Both communism and the New Left are alive and thriving here in America. They favor code words: tolerance, social justice, economic justice, peace, reproductive rights, sex education and safe sex, safe schools, inclusion, diversity, and sensitivity. But all you really want is death to those happy rich white families. You are double-distilled evil.

The entire quote is "such courses are needed to arrest the collapse of the American family and society -- a view held by many conservative Christians in America." so the answer is clearly no- they are seeking to educate women to improve the state of American society because women are so valuable in the home, a role that is weakened by modern commericalized life.

I do not know about all conservative Christian women, I do believe that children should be raised by their Mother. I don't mean a woman is stuck at home not working for 18 years. The first few years of a childs development is important and it defines the child later in life.
I stay at home and raise my children. The people I know who also raise their children and give them good positive values (yes, Christian values) are not have many of the same problems with their children. When problems arise the children are better able to cope.

I am a conservative Christian. I do not blame the collapse of the American family and society on women. I blame it on disobedience, rebellion and selfishness of all people.

God tells us, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14. God told this to Solomon but, it is for us too.

Nope. There are many factors that have caused this, but nothing that is the specific fault of one gender. I'm sure Mr. "goldwing" who answered above me is a real expert on conservative Christians, but his answer is just wrong. Do all feminists blame men for their problems? Some do, but not all. Do all blacks blame whites for their problems? Some do, but not all. Do conservatives blame women for the collapse of the family? Some do, but not all...not even most. The factors causing this to happen are too numerous to answer in YA.

I don't plan to look at your link, but I consider myself a conservative Christian and I don't blame women for the collapse of the American family and society. I do believe both are collapsing, but it is as much men as women to blame. And I don't think it is directly the result of women working outside of the house, if that is what you are implying. I think it has to do with the whole concept of what's important in life. Used to be: God, Family, Money. Now is: Money, My own desires, money, family, my own wants.

Some do. I don't know about all.

But yes, they largely blame feminism, and women leaving the "traditional" role of homemaker as one of the main causes of "society's decline."

The blame homosexuals, too.

Pat Robertson once claimed feminism and support of homosexuals were among the reasons God "allowed" 9/11 to happen.
