That's what I'd like to know about, I am so sick of all this one sided "I just wanted to work and be with my son" BS. If the media wants to present a fair and unbiased story then it should also cover that.
Did she cost someone allot of money when she used their number? Did they have to file bankruptcy or lose their home?

caldude - when the income is reported to the IRS it is ADDED to their total income, and then they OWE TAXES on that income.
Also if she claimed more exemptions then she is entitled to there wouldn't the withholdings, so come tax time there are added fines (interest) on the taxes owed.
The costs to straighten all this out is very high, because you need a lawyer.

no MX, I am right, I happen to have a degree in accounting. The IRS will eventually straighten things out, but ya know what, FIRST the person is audited and then several months later things might get fixed. In the meantime the legal citizen is left hanging.

What gave you the idea that the media is fair. Most news you get today is managed news.
There is a major agenda in this country and both the liberal and conservative media are to blame.
They only report things that they want you to know, now if one media like Lou Dobbs on Cnn keeps talking an issue other media or talking heads have to deal with it or thinking ppl question the media. But, they leave out or change the facts.
Most media prefer hollywood news, because it's doesn't effect your life but it deters your attending which is their goal.
We have 24/7 news but every media rewinds the same thing every 5 min. all day long waiting for some major event.
Then they spend days on how someone felt that went thur that event.
Again that is to deter you from getting any information that might effect your life and your future.
So to answer your question your not going to get it. Unless of course you do the research.
She was pregnant at some point so she used a false Id to get medical treatment. If any of the id were tied to that the real person insurance they most likely got a medical bill.
The scope of Medical false Id use by illegals are in the 500 billion dollars a year. Insurance company don't like to write those costs off and the media doesn't talk about that.

They don't usually let the people know who stole your number. Most are just left to deal with the fiasco and financial burden on their own. I wish they would because these people need to take responsibility and should be able to be personally sued for it. It's ALOT more than just a stupid number to be able to work.
Caldude.....you have been mis-informed. The persons identity they have stolen does not get the funds the illegal put in. It just goes in a general fund.

The media does not want to present a fair and balanced story, they prefer soundbite news. Don't hold your breath. When she was arrested it was barely a one line story from most news organization and SOME didn't even carry the story at all.

And Caldude...if Elvira had any credit cards using that SSN and went delinquent on them...guess whose credit takes a big blow? Not to mention opening a bank account with it and bouncing checks or some such.

Who really knows the extent of her criminal ways? I'd love to know that info myself. She should have done jail time, too! I don't think she should have been just deported, 20 years could have done her some good, and put her in touch with her real peers!

This is a great question, but you know these days the liberal media make the criminal in to the victim, the real victim doesn't even exist to them.. You do realize the media is trying to shove their liberal agenda up our *** don't you?

The media no longer provides useful information - they just tell us what we should believe. Good question though.

I don't know why? Call Fox News and ask them.
Did Elvira cost someone money? No. If anything Elvira bolstered their SS account when the money withdrawn from her paycheck by her employers was sent to Uncle Sam for processing. Money that Elvira will never be eligible to receive, but the person's whose account it was added to, will receive. In other words, she did that person a big favor.
What would make you think that the person would go bankrupt?
edit: I'm not sure that the minimum wage she earned working at various jobs would impact the taxes enough on somebody's reported income to have caused that person to file for bankruptcy. That is if it is a REAL person anyway. Most bogus SS cards (and numbers) don't belong to living people anyway. Uncle Sam conveniently ignores this because Congress likes to spend that money on things unrelated to Social Security.
