I believe in reincarnation. I also believe that some souls are older than others. My proof for reincarnation lies within the differences between those I believe to have new souls and those I believe to have old souls. I new soul sticks out in a crowd and not in a good way. They appear to not understand all the ins and outs of society, and you really can't explain it to them. They don't fit in anywhere. They act as if they have no past experience of living. I believe that I am an old soul (and this isn't me bragging because my mom agrees) because I understand how to blend in. My brother, however, is a new soul. Yes, since I'm an old soul, I've had many past lives, but no, I can't recall any of them.

Like any believers, if you think otherwise of religions with a supreme God or Trinity, you will seek to believe in something else or choose not to believe in anything and just be an atheist.
Everybody asks for proof of religion and non-religions and all other things related to Science, and now even reincarnation.
As far as I know, reincarnation is often mentioned in Buddhism. It is noted that Buddha, upon gaining Nirvana (enlightenment), began to understand the mechanismsof the world. Buddha who is not theCreator nor God of reincarnation described that through the lensof his enlightenment, he witnessed what hell is like. He described that there is hell because of cause and effects of good and bad deeds which has caused the conditions to be ripe. Like you, I hadresearched on this topic before.
You may want to find out about Buddhism in Tibet and the successors of the Dalai Lama, of which they have a special way of finding the rebirths.
Of course, apart from religions, there are other eastern European cultures which believe in it too. Do trytosearch on the net.
Good luck!

I believe in reincarnation.
Do I have proof? No, my belief is based in faith. I am a practicing Buddhist.
Do I have memory of past lives? Could explain deja vu. But I believe that once enlightment is attained, you will have the ability to see your past lives and the path you took to enlightenment.
It is your karmic energy that moves into your next life. This determines what your next life will be. If you have caused more suffering to others then you have incurred negative karma. At some point your negative karma must be "repaid." This is usually done in a future life.
It is my belief that you are reincarnated until you get things right. Until you value life and happiness for others as much as you value it for yourself.

1. Believe.
I think consciousness get reincarnated. I don't believe this is done by a "God."
2. No proof.
My only reason for believing this is I don't think consciousness is part of the physical body.
3. No.
But a couple mediums told me I was a rich spoiled brat in my previous lives and I was "paying" for it now.

Schizophrenia is reincarnation gone bad. Other than that there seems to be little evidence of former selves. Possibly because dung beetles and the like have no viable spirits.

reincarnation seems logical to me. It explains the vast differences between human beings. Where some humans are only interested in developing their soul qualities. Their love, their compassion, their sensitivity. This seems like a progression from where most people are. Most people seem to be chasing desires. Desire for wealth, power, material possessions. And there are so MANY LEVELS to desire, first you just want to escape poverty, then you want more, more more until you are a billionaire. Then maybe you want to be the RICHEST PERSON IN THE WORLD! Or you are a man and you want women. Fist one woman, then maybe you want 10 women, or a hundred women. Or fame, you want everyone to know your name, to wish they were you. Or you want to be thought of as the smartest person on earth so you go and get 3 PHDs. But if you think of all that you could desire and how long it would take to attain, it's hard to think of accomplishing everything in one linear lifetime. Especially if the goal was to go from a grunting beast to a compassionate, sensitive, caring person.

You seem to key onto one sentence and obsess over it, my pal. answer: no longer all Jews theory in reincarnation. some have self assurance the soul reincarnates till one is righteous adequate to connect G-d while death. some have self assurance the soul reincarnates till the Messiah/Messianic Age comes around. some have not got self assurance in reincarnation in any respect (extra of the conventional theory).

Sorry, but there is no proof whatsoever of;
1/ Reincarnation
2/ Ghosts
3/ That the bible is factual
4/That Elvis is still alive
5/That Tony Blair is honest
Doubtless that many reborn indian guides (why always indian?) will dispute this, but as you correctly surmise, THERE IS NO PROOF.

I don't because of the simple fact that once everything dies there will be no animals to reincarnate into.
