I have thought about this a lot. I don't think so. You would always be competing for attention with the same skills. Of course I guess identical twins get along pretty well...so I might be wrong.

My children are so much like me it's stunning... and of course I adore them. Of course the willfulness and fierce independence of thought can be trying as a parent, but they are traits I highly respect and I hope they keep them into adulthood.
My Mom is a lot like me too. We've always said we're cut from the same bolt of cloth. We get along famously.
So based on these experiences I'd say yes.

I think we'd get along and have fun together, but I don't think it would work out for a good friendship. No one would want to hang out with the two of us together though, because they wouldn't be able to get a word in!

My best friend and I have extremely similar personalities, as do most of the friends I get along with, so I'd say probably.

I would hope for mutualt respect and nothing more. Assuming they had exactly the same personality mutual respect would be achievable.
