Your college experience will have no impact on your enlistment. In fact, if you qualify, you might even come in at a higher pay rank, if you have enough credits.

Army also offers college while in the service. You can take correspondence courses through the University of Maryland while you are in, or attend actual classes where you are stationed. You have to keep your grades up, though, or you pay for the cost of the courses.
You are absolutely right: You can succeed, learn discipline, and have a lot of awesome experiences. For me, there was really no other chance to see and live in Europe for several years except through the Army. I had a blast. And you learn a lot about how other nations work and their cultures and attitudes toward America that most people will never know.
Wear the uniform proudly, shine those boots, listen hard and strive to excel.
God bless you and all those who serve.
God bless the USA!!!!

It depends on what you want to do and what you are willing to do as far a jobs they will give you. I don't think that dropping out of college will have any negative effects on you enlisting but if you are interested in attending an academy then it might come in to play. Consider the other branches also. I spent seven years in the Air Force and highly reccomend it as aposed to the other branches if you value the quality of life aspect.

You can enlist and despite your spotty college experience they would probably see that too. A lot of folks join the military to gain some maturity and self discipline coming out with their heads on straight. Good luck.

You can be Enlisted. They don't need college at all. Lots of college dropouts that couldn't handle it become Enlisted. You really are going to regret not making the grade in college, however, as most Officers get payed way more that what you will be getting.

I don't think that it will be a problem. They don't care if you attempted college. As long as you have your high school diploma or GED, you have met the educational requirements. Good for you to try to take a different approach at a new path in life. The military will be a good place for you.

they will take anyone.......do a search about how recruiters in ghetto areas were telling kids who had non highschool diploma how to get fake ones so they could make it into the army....Thats how bad they need people....Very sad i hope you change your mind and dont sign away your life to a govt that has lied and pissed on its own veterans....So you know i fully support the troops just not this war and not the way the army has recruited people
