The XP Home Install CD does not come with Microsoft Office and you need a separate disc.

It is possible (but unlikely) that your pc came pre-bundled with Office and in that case you can simply use your system restore cd.

Where did you get Office from in the first place? You will need to get it again.

No, it won't leave you with MS-Office. You will need to buy a separate MS-Office installer CD and install Office. But don't worry! You can get OpenOffice instead, it's a complete office suite itself and is free!

OpenOffice is fully compatible with MS-Office.

You can also get StarOffice, the premium version of OpenOffice for free with the Google Pack.

There is another office suite called OxygenOffice, which has been devevloped from the open source code of OpenOffice and has added enhancements.

Wrong
Office is Seperate and comes with a Suite of Programs by Microsoft.
If you wipe your HD it is gone unless you have an Install Disk.

No. Office is a seperate CD from Windows.

But you can always download Open Office. It's free.

It's not included with your operating system unless it came packaged with OEM software.
