I don't believe that Jesus meant to send everyone but Christians to hell. Think about it:
1) Jesus was Jewish, so why would he want his people to go to hell? Say his grandfather (Mary's father) died before Jesus was born. Should he be in hell because he died before he was able to accept Jesus as his savior?
2) The story of Jesus took decades, if not centuries, to spread throughout the Middle East, Rome and Europe. Would God punish the people who didn't learn about Jesus fast enough because there was no TV or Internet back then to broadcast his message?

Hi, Anna. Eternal life in heaven is not a reward for living a good life. It is rather the result of returning to a good relationship with the Creator, who designed us to live with him forever. To make this return possible, God came among us as a man, taught us about himself, and made the ultimate sacrifice to open a new life for us. To live this new life, we have to die to ourselves and be "born again" into the life of Christ. Obviously, if we don't believe in Christ, it is not possible to live in Christ.
Jesus told us that he is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through him. That's such a bold claim that it could have been made by a madman, a devil, or the Son of God. We know Jesus was eminently sane, and that all his deeds were good, which leaves the conclusion that, "Truly, this man is the Son of God."

"I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"....John 14:6
That pretty much says it as plainly as it gets.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that NOT of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are ALL as an unclean thing and ALL our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.....
Galations 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law (doing good works), then Christ is dead in vain.
Grace is the ONLY way we get to heaven. There is nothing we can do by ourselves to get there.
There was a man in Bible by the name of Saul, who was a persecuter of the church. He was responsible for the deaths of many people who were Christians. He was converted, excepted the Gospel of Jesus, and became a VERY great testimony for God. This same mans name was changed to Paul....who became one of the greatest Apostles, and spread the Gospel to multitudes. He was responsible for many people excepting Christ, and going to heaven when they died. He wrote 15 books of the new testament.....part of the Acts, all the way through Hebrews. If such a man can be forgiven, and be saved by the grace God....then we all have hope. Just remeber....there is no such thing as big sin and little sin.....it is all equal in Gods eyes. If it were saying a cuss word, or killing someone....sin is sin. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
In the old testament people were saved by faith. In the new testament we are saved by grace. Being saved is wholeheartedly excepting Jesus as your personal savior, and believing that He lived a sinless life, was crucified and died on the cross, and three days later was ressurected by God.
There is no other ticket to heaven. If you have not excepted Jesus....I would pray for God to show you the way.....to help you understand, and to express a wholehearted desire for Him to come into your life.
I would also suggest talking to someone that you KNOW is a Christian, so they could answer questions about salvation.
I pray that you come to know Jesus as yor personal savior.
John 3:17 For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
I hope this helps. God bless.

Dear Anna. God delights in all people in every nation ho are doing what is right, but what about heaven this is another matter. You can't please God without faith. Those who raped and murdered must bring fruits worthy of repentance. Those people must answer before the law. No one has the right to hide people committed crimes. Christians must fulfill every law of country they live in, if it not contradict to the Word of God. God don't teach to do wrong. See to it. What happens if we don't forgive a criminal. He will continue committing crimes and when he is forgiven he stops doing evil. System of jails is far from perfectness. It does not mend criminals. Even people who could repent don't do it because atrocious conditions of living in jail. They also don't believe that they can be forgiven. He who has been forgiven more loves more, so is written in the Gospel. Those people could love more if we would give them a chance. To my opinion, must be jails for people who repented in their crimes and want to mend their ways. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Hello Anna, btw that is my daughter's name ;)
You have to consider that this wonderful person who helps others still sins...we all do. The Bible tells us that one sin is not greater than another, so this wonderful person's sin is the exact same as someone murdering someone. So, according to God's standards of perfection, (since he is perfect) to be in his presence we must be sinless. But how? A blood sacrifice (because the wages of sin, according to God's law is death). But God loves us so very much. He does not want us to die which is why He sent one last blood sacrifice named Jesus. Hell was never intended for people. It was created for Satan and the fallen angels. All it takes is the faith of a mustard seed (very tiny) and you will see how much he loves you too.

No solid or ethical person will ever bypass to heaven. merely the sinless and the righteous, people who have faith interior the unique gospel Jesus gave to mankind will enter heaven. Jesus even reported so in John 3:3-5 whilst coaching the instructor of Israel who did no longer have a clue. The pathway to heaven, is the pathway that Jesus mapped out for us, the different pathway leads to hell. John 3:3-5 skill, "If somebody needs to be born lower back, they could desire to be born of water and the Spirit. right here water skill the baptism of Jesus, which does away with all the sins of the worldwide as quickly as and for all. The Spirit skill that Jesus who won baptism from John the Baptist is God Himself.” related to your Q of youngsters. examine Mark 7:21-23, and right here you will see Jesus coaching us that everyone born into this worldwide has been born with those 12 sins of their hearts. Even King David reported interior the Psalm, announcing, "i grew to become into conceived in sin." So toddlers are born with those sins, you're able to no longer see it on an identical time as they're nonetheless very youthful, yet provide them some years, and 'Walla" out it comes out.

let me share Mormon beliefs. Wwe believe that there are three degrees of glory. The Celestial, Terrestial, then Telestial. Celestial being more like...paradise! Then hell for people who deny God. You have a second chance in the after life to accept his Gospel and his teachings, but you will have the same attitude towards the Gospel as you do on Earth. It is my belief too. Every one has sinned.
We must repent of our sins for God to forgive us (and there by be able to enter Heaven).
If anyone does not repent, they keep their sins and close Heaven to them selves.
Salvation is a gift from God that is obtained by asking in faith for it, and not a reward for doing good works (so that no person can boast about it).

There is one problem with your question.
Logic.
Logic has no place in faith. Hence why faith without proof does not make sense to most of us.
This goes with what I've said before.....I don't want to be in a heaven that excludes people who do good in the world just because they don't follow what your deity has supposedly said.
But ofcourse, you have to assume that the people speaking on "god's behalf" aren't either hearing voices, power hungry, or just making stuff up they think sounds good.
Divinely inspired? Psh, more like powermad inspired.

Christians believe that people will only go to heaven if Christ is their Saviour, because that is what Luke, under the inspiration of God the Holy Spirit, told mankind:
"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Acts 4:10-12.
