As there are only 2 options, neither is best. Clearly your qualification is not in English.
For some reason a 2nd class honours degree is subdivided in to 2 categories, known as a 2.1 and a 2.2.
A 2.1 is a higher level pass than a 2.2.
For your information, I got a 3rd class honours degree in Mathematics way back in 1972.
What did you get, by the way?

are you at university?

if so how do you not know what a 2.1 is?

anyway its like A,B,C in A-level.

Top level is 1st : 70%+
2.1: 60-69%
2.2: 50-59%
3rd: 40:49%
fail: below 40%

2.1 is better than 2.2 - It's the level of degree you got. 1st class is best of all.

2.1 is better than a 2.2 but then a 1st is better than a 2.1

Those are degree grades hun, so im guessing you did A levels. 2:2 is average and 2:1 is high... I got a 2:1 by the way : )
