If you mean tips as in extra money for the work, no. They have quoted you a price and that is what you pay. If you mean tips as in help in installing, you have the wrong guys.

Explain what you want when you purchase the door,then let the installers do their job.They're the professionals and know what they're doing.

You never "have" to tip anyone, if there was some law that said you "had" to tip the waitress, it would be on the check.

In this situation, it is not traditional to give gratuities to craftsmen, if they have helpers, it is up to them to take care of any tipping.

no they are paid to do that and don't expect tips, it would be nice but if you are paying for installation they get most of that money as their income, its nice to do it if they are friendly, but you never HAVE to tip anyone.
