Nope. Specially when just not being able to convince myself that he exists is enough to warrant this punishment.

When you consider that the God we are speakme about is a sadistic, brutal tyrant who despatched his only son off into the little insignificant spec of a sh*t-gap he created into one of the most superstitious components of the core-east (for the suffering and suffering of people to be "relieved", in order that we may just pass onto heaven), most effective to then be tortured after which killed. And only then to say that he loves us, when killing off many of the lifestyles in the world, when telling a person called Noah to be the saviour of the whole animal kingdom? Hm... Would not sound terribly ... Um.... Real? However earlier than this, he tempted us with the tree of skills (that means he was once trying to dum us down a little, eh?) in which HE created. This process which he created, he knew the inevitable final result that people would suffer for it... As I stated: Sadistic. The sheer morality of this supposedly "benevolent" being is ridiculous. You're correct, this guy does have a "grudge" towards us. This is likely one of the many motives why i'm an atheist. Despite the fact that you can also now not like what I need to say, you've got got to confess that this man is a meany, and what i'm saying holds some actuality (even supposing it is not so much). Especially as he is all-powerful, i'm not definite the proper individual is in charge here... However that is simply MY view. Nothing more. Don't forget, you could consider anything you want to belive. I cannot alternate that, nor do I wish to. But you requested a query, and i gave you an reply. It's just my opinion, so please don't be offended by it. Thank you.

Here's an analogy.

Once upon a time I had a teacher. He gave us an impossible 1,000 question test made up of the hardest questions he could think of. It was pass or fail. If you got one question wrong you would fail forever! How unfair! BUT, he said, if we were to answer the last and "special" question correct, we would pass and it would not matter how many questions we got wrong. More importantly, he then proceeded to give us the answer to the last and 'special' question.

Heres what i say to you.. Is this a merciful teacher?
Even though you fail forever with one mistake, you are assured of passing with one simple answer that you can be sure is right!

you say holding a grudge forever, but ther is also enjoying the grace and power of God forever, and the best thing is the road to that enjoyment is Faith-free and easy.

I could never hold so tightly onto a grudge - we're only human, we make mistakes, we do stupid things, and we move on. Anyone who has the narrow-mindedness to hold onto something with all they have left, isn't worth knowing. Chances are, they're lonely, they're miserable, and you know what? They chose to be like that - because they can't get over the fact that sometimes, you need to forgive someone.

I think that for anyone who saw the third Saw movie, could understand that you need to let go of your grudges and forgive people who make mistakes, because you're only causing yourself more hurt by holding on.

God.. -scoffs- How can someone love someone so "loving", when it's God who ended up killing more people in the bible than anyone else?

because of the fact the God we are speaking approximately is a sadistic, brutal tyrant who despatched his in hassle-free terms son off into the little insignificant spec of a sh*t-hollow he created into between the main superstitious areas of the middle-east (for the discomfort and suffering of human beings to be "relieved", so as that we could bypass onto heaven), in hassle-free terms to then be tortured and then killed. And in hassle-free terms then to declare that he loves us, while killing off diverse the existence on the earth, while telling a guy stated as Noah to be the saviour of the entire animal kingdom? Hm... does not sound extraordinarily ... um.... genuine? yet earlier this, he tempted us with the tree of information (meaning he replaced into attempting to dum us down slightly, eh?) wherein HE created. this methodology which he created, he knew the inevitable result that human beings could go through for it... As I suggested: Sadistic. The sheer morality of this supposedly "benevolent" being is ridiculous. you're suitable, this guy does have a "grudge" against us. it incredibly is without doubt one in all of the numerous the rationalization why i'm an atheist. regardless of in case you won't like what I could desire to assert, you have have been given to confess that this guy is a meany, and what i'm asserting holds some fact (even no count if it incredibly is not lots). fairly as he's all-powerful, i'm uncertain the perfect individual is in fee right here... yet it incredibly is merely MY view. not something greater. keep in mind, you have got faith regardless of you opt to belive. i won't be in a position to alter that, nor do i opt to. yet you asked a query, and that i gave you an answer. it incredibly is merely my opinion, so please don't be offended by ability of it. thank you.

God will not burn people forever. People may make decisions to go to hell, but the key here is that it is a decision. He has a plan and a future for everyone, but forces no one to accept it. He works endlessly, utilizing an entire heavenly host to battle those who long to share their eternal torment with you. You are being cared for, 24/7, even while in denial, but He will not force eternal happiness on you, if you chose otherwise.
Having the capability is not close to doing. I am capable of many things I don't accomplish, good and bad, both.
People want to know Him, because His love is more profound than anything on earth. I am a relatively new Christan. I have a very personal relationship with God and He is showing me happiness and contentment I never dreamed
existed. I was already successful in business, a happy family man, a dreamer who accomplished many of my dreams. I've had many tragedies, as well. I've studied Lakota medicine, Hinduism, yoga (which I still practice, physically) and they pale to the relationship I am growing in with the Lord.
HIS LOVE IS BEYOND COMPREHENSION. Mere touches of it are ecstasy we attempt to copy but cannot.

I have answered questions like this before and I will try one more to explain. God does not want ANYONE to burn in hell forever. God is Holy, and we are not. If we compare ourselves to other people, we will find someone not as bad as we are- however when we compare ourselves to God we are not good at all. HOWEVER< that said- God made a way so we do not have to go to hell. IF he really hated us that much there would be no choice- we deserve Hell and we would go there. However , Jesus was sent to the cross to die for our sins, so that we can escape the judgment we deserve. ALL we have to do is accept Christ as the payment for our sins, He bled on the cross for us. The nails did not keep Him on the cross- His love for us did- it is our choice, to choose life or hell. We deserve death and hell, His mercy gives us life.

This is not the Christian God. God says do not hold grudges, but be forgiving. God says do not retaliate, because vengeance belongs to Him. God says to love everyone including your enemies.

Holding grudges and bitterness makes a person ill. Forgiveness restores the soul.

God is real and good, but that exact question drove me from the church for about 10 years. I think the "lakes of fire" stuff is supposed to be a visceral description of how it would feel to be eternally separated from God. Literalists will get angry with me, but I don't believe there is a Hell with fire and demons poking you with sticks and whatnot. If God is LOVE then God cannot be cruel. Harsh, yes, cruel, no, and banishing those who refuse to believe from his presence, OK, that's fair. But that's punishment enough, no additional horrors necessary.
