My girlfriend wants me to trim down there I think it seems weird and what will the guys in the gym think!

Maybe not so much etiquette but more of a growing trend. It makes things look cleaner. I guess the etiquette part come in with the oral, no stray hairs in the mouth. Also, why are you worried about the guys at the gym? That one I am still old school, you should not be commenting on another man's genitalia while in the locker room. I even kept quiet when I notice a guy on monday that had his toenails painted bright red with sparkles. I just tied my shoes and got out to the floor.

Trimming your nether region has nothing to do with etiquette! It has to do with personal choice and how much you are influenced by the hygienic hype of genitalia aesthetics. Don't do anything you feel uncomfortable with just to please the desire of your girlfriend to see you all trimmed. If you decide to do it because of a personal conviction, what does the opinion of the guys at the gym matter?

I don't think etiquette is the right phrase to use but if your girlfriend is asking you to trim then trim. She probably doesn't like getting poked in the eye with a pub.

It's okay if it makes you feel okay. You may just want to trim it low. Your girl may want you to do it because your member looks like a snake in a bush and she doesn't want to kiss the snake if the bush is going up her nose. sometimes a thick bush holds aromas. Who cares what the guys in the gym think? I'd think they were weird for looking at you.

I was never bothered by male hair, but I did know one guy Who had excessive pubic hair. It was similar in texture to sheep's wool and really long. It was weird looking.
If the hair sticks out more than two inches you may want to trim it, just to not look freakish, just don't make shapes.

So the choice is turn your girlfriend on or be thought weird by guys that you don't know? I think I'd go with your girlfriend... you can always tell the guy at the gym that you get better sex due to your trim.
Plus, I'd never look that close at another guy.....

I think it looks so much better when guys do trim down there.
Take your girlfriends advice and do it. Just don't shave it.

Guess it depends on what part of the world you're in. Here in the Czech Republic, it's normal for guys to be totally shaved. I don't do it, but at the gym, it's about 80% completely bare...pits and crotch.

Shave it off mate. Much better. If the guys at the gym have any problem with it, tell them how much more horny it makes your girlfriend.

I think it is just personal preference. I prefer clean shaven myself. Hairiness "down there" is a turn off for me.
Of course, it could be quite the opposite for someone else. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
