Only if your child accepts Christ themself.....
Baptising babies does nothing for them.
Baptising dead ppl (mormons) does nothing for them.
The only difference in your life is when you accept Christ into your heart.
Baptism doesn't save you, the act in your heart does.

Because they will be marked under a covenant of grace, partakers of a promise that includes entire households, having an address in the Kingdom just like their parents. They are different from the unmarked infants of BOTH atheists AND credo-baptists who do not recognize their worth. Just leave the child at home, ignore the training up of a child in the way he should go. Sorry, Jesus, the kids are already saved and avoiding Hell because we think they're innocent. They do not need to be suffered to come to you.
Oh yes, your child's life will be different. The whole household serves the Lord and is in the palm of His hand.

Sprinkling a baby or young child just gets them wet. It doesn't make them a Christian. A person would have to be fully immersed (go under the water and come out of the water) and before that, make a conscious decision they need to become a Christian (believe, repent, confess, then be baptized and after that, live as a Christian). A baby or young child can't believe in God, especially babies. How can a baby say, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God Who came to take away my sins"? Babies and young children haven't even sinned in the first place. And even if a young child confesses, they don't have an understanding of what it means to be a Christian.
It is up to the person to become a Christian. Their parents, preacher, minister, etc.. can't make someone a Christian. They have to decide for themselves (something children can't do) and then have a Christian man baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The purpose of being immersed (instead of having water sprinkled or poured) is symbolic of Jesus' death and resurrected. It's just like the physical example. If dirt is sprinkled or poured on a dead person, are they buried? No. They have to be fully under the dirt to be buried. Same with baptism. Baptism is to die to your old self, be buried (symbolically) to your old self and rise again to your new life in Christ and live and grow as a new Christian. For more information about this, read Romans 6.

It will not, it paints the picture and stands as a public proclamtion of ones faith in God.
"For by faith ye are saved through grace and that not of yourselves, not of works lest any man should boast."
Baptism is a result of ones Faith because of their need to proclaim thier newfound joy to other Christians and to follow the Lords commandment.

Honestly, it won't. Religious rites of passage like that are really meaningless unless the person involved KNOWS and UNDERSTANDS the commitment they're making.
I think its best for children to wait until they're older. My 5 year old daughter wants to get baptized but when we asked her what it means she couldn't really tell us. Her father and I decided she should wait until she can -- it will be more meaningful for her then, and hey, by that time she might even change her mind.

If its a choice of faith and repentence, it will make a HUGE difference because that is what identifies yourself as a believer.
