Why do you feel it is your right to go out and harass homosexual men and women?

Where in the Bible does it say that preventing someone from doing what they want is a good thing?

Daniel W: Romans 1:27 and 1 Corithians 6:9-10 are both NT passages against homosexuality.

The trouble with Romans and Corinthians is that they are both the opinions of people who were interpreting earlier stories of the Bible. Why do people put any value in those opinions? Can't they read the Gospels and make up their own mind what Jesus was saying?

EDIT: Kenny p says Christians should go into the world and teach the gospel. Then why not stick to what Jesus himself said about homosexuality (nothing)? Jesus didn't say go out and teach whatever Paul may say some day.

All Christians do not harass homosexuals and gays. It's true that all sin is sin to God however God also recognizes the impact that certain sins have on us as humanity. For instance, going into the grocery store and stealing a grape would probably be tolerated by the manager better than someone storming the store with automatic weapons and robbing the stores safe. The sin may be the same to God but the impact on humanity does very. God is not against sin because He's God He is against it because He knows what the accumulated result is going to be if certain behavior is not curbed.

The Bible condemns alot of things. I think its silly for people to take up homosexuality as a cause and not rally against liars, or adulterers, or judgmental people for that manner ...

There's controversy surrounding the interpretation of the original scriptures (in the NT) that discuss homosexuality. I don't really know what the original intent was, but I know that I'm just as guilty of doing things that God doesn't approve of as anyone else.

It is not the right of the Christian to harass or berate anyone. It is each persons choice and free will, given by God, that determines the path for their life. Is homosexuality a sin, yes. If you asked me about that I would be honest and talk to you about the bible, but to condemn you? No, not my job. I sin. We all do. And all sin is equal in God's eyes. So, why are homosexuals any worse off than the rest of us?

I know of no believers that harrass homosexuals. If you refer to us calling it a sin, then that isnt harrasment. That is repeating a judgment that is made in Scripture.

Who prevents homosexuals from doing what they will? Are their church lynch mobs running around hanging gays that Im not aware of? Are churches now holding hands and forming a line in front of their bedrooms so they cant get in?

i individually have faith that the Bible is not extra genuine than Greek Mythology. i'm baffled all too regularly as to how a superbly smart guy or woman can twist his/ her reasoning to certainly one of those degree that they could verbally state they purchase into the tale written years sometimes centuries after the so reported as fact. in addition to, why is it that Christians , in the event that they desire to stay a life-time of fantasy could desire to additionally determine that their neighbor believes the comparable thought? I recommend what distinction does my concept or disbelief in habit and the afterlife have any impact on my neighbor. The human suggestions is in no way very developed whilst emotionalism can overpower clean reason. I do bear in mind even though whilst i grew to become into 10 and that i fairly lots knew there grew to become into no Santa Clause by using deductive reasoning. i grew to become into even though immature adequate to stir myself right into a emotional fantasy that I felt it extra relaxing and comforting to easily pretend that i theory. it form of feels e will constantly be grasp of I (emotion/ mind) by way of fact the former takes much less attempt and honesty. kurt Niziak

Here's a strange one. My RE teacher at the RC school I went to (Nuns and lay-teachers), was gay and taught us everything in the bible EXCEPT Sodom and Gomorrah. Go figure!

I don't harass anyone, I'm probably too tolerant.

First of all some so called Christians use the bible to benefit their own hatred and bigotry. Which isn't Christ like at all.

Oh, nice point you've made.

It's not right for anyone to harass another about anything, and that applies to all of us. We should all practice tolerance and acceptance, keeping our not-so-kind thoughts and actions in check.

I don't recall ever having read anywhere in the Bible that people should be prevented from living their lives as they choose, or as they were meant to.
