I was really stressed this year from work and just had enough. So I looked up the symptoms of an appendicitis, and faked them to my boss. I was send my doctor, and I did it again. Before I knew it, i was in hospital and having tests on me. I stuck to my original symptoms and before I knew it I was operated on.
My family all rallied to me and it felt good being pampared on. But I feel really guilty about what I have done. What should I do ?

It was easy to fake the doctors, the tests were hard to fake, but because I said the pain was in the right places and the way that I "acted", they seemed to overlook those factors.

a million) 911 used to be truly, planes hitting the towers had been very truly two) the loss of research could be very truly three) the discraction created through individuals who speak approximately far off manipulate planes and missles - could be very truly - as i suppose they're with no trouble askin the fallacious query, one that drives away curiosity in uncovering the reality The questions that research must begin with is a million) who advantages two) did the federal government understand approximately a coming assault three) did the federal government understand approximately terrorists right here four) did the federal government understand approximately the hijacked planes five) why is binladen now not desired for 911 , no point out of 911 on his fbi such a lot desired web page 6) what legislation handed after 911, that would now not have handed earlier than 7) used to be the patriot act written earlier than 911? eight) used to be a iraqi invasion deliberate earlier than 911? Real questions, a few would point out conspirators within the management. But speak of far off manipulate planes and hologram missles discredits ANY dissent.

First off, I am so shocked they operated on you. If you were faking your symptoms, then that means your white blood count was normal, and a CT scan would have shown no inflamation of the appendix. I can't beleive your insurance paid for it if all of your tests were normal. You must have had a crazy doctor. Anyway, you should do what you feel you have to do. For me, I probably would never be able to come clean b/c that is a huge thing to lie about. But if the guilt overcomes you, you are going to have to come clean.

No, that's just wrong for your family and friends to think something is wrong and worry about you....
if you had test then why did they operate when the test came back saying nothing was wrong? And if you knew nothing was wrong why would you go through with the doctors and stuff??? I don't believe this.. sorry.... and if it is true, did the insurance pay for this unnecessary surgery because if they didn't that's insurance fraud and you could go to jail!! the doctor would have known you were lying once he opened you up!!

i wouldnt consider being honest about it now because the operation has already happened and your family will never trust you again (its not a good feeling). its a good thing you feel guilty about it because what kind of person would you be if you didnt? i'm glad you came out fine from the operation and hope it doesnt somehow affect you in the future.
give yourself a break and let it go, stress leads to unhappiness leading people to do naughty things.
learn from this lie as it took you further than you intended.

Stress can cause one to go beyond what one would do normally. And yes you went way beyond, but that is over. I would suggest you do seek counseling to find more productive ways in which to handle your stress.
If your job is causing your this much stress, start looking for a new job. Put out your resume and also do some research on what type of job you would like. Liking your job does help to reduce the levels.

If you really feel guilty, you could talk to a counselor. The feeling you got from being cared for can be addictive and turn into a syndrome called Munchausen Syndrome where people make themselves sick so they can go to the hospital and be the centers of attention.
A counselor might advise you to come clean to those closest to you to alleviate some of the guilt and make sure it doesn't happen again.

My husband faked an asthma attack (he didnt have asthma) not to go to Army reserve duty and next think he was in the hospital on an IV and Oxygen for a week.
I faked labor when I wasnt pregnant to get out of a ticket. I ended up with a police escort to the maternity ward and when the police left me I ran into the bathroom and sat an hour and left.

get over yourself, you've paid the cost of your lies, you had surgery to remove a perfectly good appendix, and believe me, you doctor knows it was ok when he opened you up and saw it...he will likely have difficulty believing anything you say from now on, so you will go on paying for this ridiculous set of lies and resulting circumstances. I suggest that you resolve to stop telling lies to get what you want. Instead take responsibility for your actions, tell the truth at all times, because those lies do come back and bite you in the butt.

Amazing that you could fake an inflamed or infected appendix. Fever, high white blood cell count, pain, how did you fool all those tests. What did you tell them when they pulled your appendix and it was fine? I hope you aren't my employee when you tell me the appendix on the other side is bothering you now.
