The other day I was in the store when I just so happened to see a girl with shorts that seemed to be about a size or two too small for her, and the top she had on could hardly be called a shirt at all. This was not the first time I had been grossly disterbed by the way others of my gender dress. We seem to be living in a time were less is more, when in fact its just less. Now dont get me wrong I am all for a modestly short skirt or V-Neck top, and there is nothing wrong with a shirt that shows off a bit of curves. But some girls seem to have forgotten that something should be left to the imagination. I say "Always leave them wanting more". I personally would like to see girls dressed in skirts not tea towles, shirts that has more coverage than a bra, and speaking of Bras the are called UNDERWEAR for a reason!!!!! I mean c'mon ladies lets have a bit more self respect and keep our "privates" just that! We can be sexy without showing it all!
And by the way I am only 23, and nicely shaped

Once women realize they're capable of dressing themselves and not depend on what a bunch of MALE designers think we should wear, we'll finally free ourselves and bring some creativity and choice to the industry.

I do think however, that this trend you're speaking of puts to rest the myth that women dress for other women.

Modesty has been hidden from fashion drawing boards for eons.
What is disturbing is not fashion trends, they come and go, but that the mothers and fathers will allow a 12 year old and under, let alone a high schooler, to walk around like what a prostitute wears on any given night. And they wonder why there are predators on the internet?
Parents need to lean on stores, especially department stores, that allows buyers to put the Fredrick rejects in the girl's department and of course its all about purchases.. Money talks!
Stop buying that sort of 'trendy outfit' and complain to the store by snail mail(not email they never read it ), that you are ashamed, outraged, angry that prostitute clothes are considered fashion.
If they want that sort of stuff around they need to put it in lingerie for adults where it belongs.

I agree, some women/girls are shameless.

Not just young women either, I am embarrassed for them, they cannot really think that looks attractive in any way, other than for a quick roll in the hay.

I too wear shorts and sleeveless, "summery" things, but it is tasteful. I like to look good, for my self esteem, not for the public to see my privates.

I can't wait for this particular fad to pass. I'm trying to raise a girl (she's 12) and I refuse to shop in any store that sells THONGS to little girls. SICK!

I'm tired of seeing girls out in public showing off their "muffin top" midsections and their tattoos on their lower backs. I'm looking forward to a time when we don't have to see every inch of someone's body when we pass them on the street.

I totally agree!!! Modesty seems to have been tossed out the window. And while we are discussing this, I don't care to see guys underwear hanging out of oversized baggy pants either.

I agree with you. There are just way too many idiots out there.

I think everyone should be allowed to make
their own choices in clothing.
We don't have to wear things we don't like and
don't have the right to condem others for it.
