She's 25 and just got thick, blunt-cut bangs across her forehead. They look really, really bad. Is there any point in telling her? It's not like she can grow them out right away.

If she keeps talking about how she loves them, she would only get defensive and be upset if you told her they look really bad. Unless she asks your opinion, you should just keep it to yourself.

I know you're just trying to be a good friend but telling her could really hurt her feelings, I think. Maybe she already realizes the bangs were a mistake and she is accepting the fact that she is going to have to let them grow out. She could always comb them to the side or something but again... how do you politely suggest that to someone?

Has she asked you for your opinion? If so, then yes you should tell her. She may really want to know what other people think. If you have ideas of things she can do to help her make them look better, offer those to her.
If she didn't ask you, don't say anything. Chances are she already knows they look bad and is just waiting for them to grow out.
We've all had bad hair cuts at one time or another. There's not always a solution, other than to just smile and hope it grows out fast.

If she is really close, then yes u can mention but mention in a diplomatic way. Something like "hey, i think it'll look much better if it's this way"...or something like that. If u r not that close, then dont say anything. Inanycase, it's not that she can do anything about it at this point, so why make them feel bad.

You should tell her if there is a way she can change it until it grows back. maybe she can clip them back or something? If there really is no way, like if they are very very short, then dont tell her. But of course dont act like you love it either.

Uh, does she like them ? No, I would'nt tell her. Unless you're an expert hair dresser who knows these things. What looks bad to you, might look nice to someone else. She's old enough to decide for herself.

If she likes them, then that is all that matters. So unless she asks you for your opinion, I don't think you should tell her what you think about them.

say hey you got a new look, she will tell you how she likes them and if she likes them, then so be it, if she is disappointed you can comiserate like a good friend.
