If Methane levels had not stabilized 10 years ago, and if the rate of change weren't moving negative (that is, levels weren't on the verge of dropping) this MIGHT be an issue.
Now it's just some Scientist justifying his Government Grant because he put the words "Global Warming" into it so he could get paid to study Moose Burps!

No it was NEVER cooling, at least in the scientific press. On the other hand, Moose burping has the same kind of solid support from the scientific community as the rest of the skeptic arguments. It's about time someone said so!

Animals tend to give out a lot of methane (from both ends!) which is a very potent greenhouse gas. This doesn't mean that they're solely responsible for global warming but it is another factor to the problem. The argument isn't tanking at all, there's just a lot of things to consider :-)

Thats like saying childrens' tears contribute to sea level rise. I'm sure whatever you read was meant to be light hearted.
Global warming is very real. The only argument left to make is how much human activities have contributed to it.
