Girl, you're about to sweat your rear off if you really want to pull this make-over for the new school year.
take your weight, multiply by 15, the result is the calories you should take a day to maitain that weight. In your case, you need to subtract 200-300 Calories to the result tobe able to lose weight. And add 200-300 Cal if you want to gain weight, which you don't.
No sodas period, no ice cream(it also means I scream for help bc i'm gaining weight). Hit the track..to burn that 1000Cal you take, you'll need to run for about 1hr and 1/2 to 2hrs-depends on you pace. All you need is "High Quality H2O"-water.
You won't lose 10lbs in 2 weeks, it's possible to do, but you gonna have to work your rear off, since after each work out you will lose your water weight, you will put this weight back on, trust me on this. But i'm sure as hell you will look fit and healthy if you hit the track everyday for about an hour. Then abs workouts, rope jumping, weight training, bicycling. Remember this, you're building muscle to burn fat.
It also doesn't mean to starve yourself like those lindsey lohan and nicole richie. Eat healthy, for every meat serving, make sure you have at least 1.5 serving of salads-a good fiber source and no fat at all. If you do snack, snack on fresh fruit and juice, or a glass of milk. No junk foods here...take this advice, you will look good and healthy for the entire year and later in the future. Also don't avoid dairy products, you need the good fat they provide and your body need it. And if you really do crave Ice cream, go for frozen yogurt, worst, you could eat ice cream once in a while.
I hope this would help you in the long run also.
Remember, it's best if you look fit and healthy than morbid skinny.

To lose 10lbs in 2 weeks, you have to burn 35,000 calories more than you eat/use. Depending on your body weight and height and activity level, you have about a 1200 - 2200 BMR (basal metabolic rate) which is how many calories your body burns just to move about and perform daily tasks. (Avg. -1500 per day)

You cannot eat less than 1200 calories a day or else you will not be losing any weight and will only damage your metabolism. So you need to eat about 1200 calories a day, no less. (+1200 per day)

If you eat 1200 calories a day and are burning 1500 (estimate) calories just from your BMR, that is a deficit of 300 calories a day right there. (-300 per day)

35,000 (10lbs) calories to burn equals about 2500 calories a day for you to burn. So if you go according to the above and are already burning 300 calories more than you take in, you still need to burn 2200 calories every day to lose the amount of weight you want to.

You can do that by doing the following:
A ) Running at 6mph for 3 hours and 12 minutes.
B ) Riding your bicycle for 5 and 1/2 hours.
C ) Walking for 7 hours and 20 minutes.

Are you starting to see why it isn't reasonable? I think that a 5 or 6lb weight loss goal for two weeks will be a lot more realistic and possible. E-mail me if you want to work that math out. Good luck.

eat fruits and vegggies, drink lots of water, at least 8 glasses a day and get plenty of exercise and sleep but keep in mind buy next month you will gain that 10 pounds back plus a little more. Healthy weight loss is 1-2.5 pounds a weeks, your best bet is to start there and set your goal to loose the ten pounds within the first month of school

Good Luck

Watch the Biggest Loser on NBC. Those people lose weight so fast it is sometimes unbelievable. But they do it the right way with a healthy diet and a mega exercise routine. Take tips from what exercises they do and how they eat. I sometimes watch the reruns on Style network while I eat dinner and watching them lose weight makes me not want to eat so much. Just don't take pills or fast because that can ruin your metabolism. A safe weight loss rate is 2-3 pounds a week.

Low Carb Dieting Tip
Your rate of metabolism dictates how many calories you burn. Heredity, gender, age, body size. diet and nutrition, activity level, and your overall health factor in on determining how high or low your metabolism is. It is normal for metabolism levels to lower as a person ages. Because of this it is important to begin stepping up your exercise routines in your thirties and forties.

Ways to Boost Your Metabolism

Eat Regularly - Eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day will give you energy throughout the day--helping you to burn calories. Whereas, calories eaten during larger meals tend to get stored as fat.
Maintain a Balanced Diet - Not only how often you eat is important, but your food choices are equally as important. Nurture you body with the appropriate balance of protein and carbs.

Eating whole foods rather than processed food gives your digestive system a workout that burns calories. For example: choose an apple over apple juice.
Workout with Weights - Building muscle mass will replace stored fat. As you build muscle tissue your metabolism increases.
Don't Forget Cardio - You need to get that heart rate up and breathe a little heavier. Twenty to thirty minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week is recommended. Brisk walking or swimming are good. Or utilize exercise equipment (exercise bike, treadmill, or elliptical trainer)
Fruits and vegetables are clearly an important part of a good diet. Almost everyone can benefit from eating more of them, but variety is as important as quantity. No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. The key lies in the variety of different fruits and vegetables that you eat.
Some basic fruit and vegetable tips:
• Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. If you need 2,000 calories a day to maintain your weight and health, aim for at least nine servings (4½ cups) a day.
• Choose a variety of different fruits and vegetables. It's easy to get into a rut when it comes to the food you eat. Break out and try a wider variety - include dark-green, leafy vegetables; yellow, orange, and red fruits and vegetables; cooked tomatoes; and citrus fruits.

Cut off an arm.

Think more realistic. Either way, drink water and ONLY water, at least 3 liters a day--- that said, it will be easy too since you need to exercise a minimum of 1 hour of cardio a day if you want to lose that kind of weight. Eat 5 small light meal a day (no sugar, no white bread or potatoes), do not starve yourself, your body will only hold on to weight that way.

unless you fast and that is practically not eat or eat only salad for 2 weeks and water then you may lose it or maybe at least lose 3 to 5 pounds and walk or jog but you will gain muscle when you work out and visibly you will look thinner but the scale wont show much of a difference if you work out muscle weighs more than fat, good luck and take care

I'm trying this.

Cut out all junk food. Coffee and cereal with no sugar. NO sugary drinks, and that includes Diet stuff.

Breakfast. half a bowl of cereal

Lunch

1 egg, 1 piece dry toast, 1 banana

dinner- small portion of meat and maybe salad

snacks- bananas and apples

15 minutes of cardio a day
combined with crunches and pushups

I'll let you know how it goes. I'm 180 now, I'd like to get to 165 by sept.

That's almost 1 pound per day. I don't think that would be very healthy. Why not loose 4 pounds in 2 weeks? It's much healthier.
