Jesus is Son of God, because Jesus had only mother, he didn't have a father.
Adam.....?????? He was the first man in town ........He must be also Son of God ...Right??????
But......He didn't have mother either ...........
So he must be come straight from God.
Shouldn't he be a greater man??????
What do you think????

MLF,
You say what's born of flesh is flesh ,....I thought Jesus was eating, I thought Jesus was bleeding , so......which one is true..... he was spirit or he was bleeding ( he showed the hole and blood on his hand) ;
If he was bleeding ...it means he was flesh, spirit has no blood.

That would be true, that is, IF the bible was actually accurate!
It's kind of like Adam was his first son, who messed up by eating an apple and so God was one pissed off daddy... Time out was no good for such a terrible thing like eating a healthy snack, so the wise and noble God not only punished his bad boy son Adam, but everyone else that ever came after him... with all the sin and the burning in hell and stuff. (I've been pretty steamed at my kids before, but this punishment tops all mine!!) Then, after a while I guess he figured that was too harsh of a punishment (he's so damn smart) and sent another son to forgive us of all this sin that he gave us... basically taking back his punishment (sort of). Now, when we're bad, we can just go talk to a man in a box and say we're sorry and he'll pass that along to Mr. God and then our sins vanish into thin air. lol.... entertaining stories!!!

I think there were more than one set of Adam and Eve, but that's beside the point.
It may well be that Adam was a better man than Jesus, but he didn't have to do what Jesus did. So we will never know for sure. He did make sure he followed all the laws of God after being removed from the garden.
Now as for Jesus, I don't think anyone will agree with me, but here goes nothing. I believe Christ was a walk-in. Jesus was only a container for the spirit of The Christ. He was a willing container, but simply a container nonetheless. I believe Mary was a virgin birth, her mother one also, and finally her grandmother. They were members of the Essene religion which was formed for the sole purpose of making the way for Christ to be born. I also believe the body of Jesus lived on this earth for three lifetimes before he was strong enough to handle holding the Christ spirit. Even with all this, Jesus still asked God not to make him go through all he had to. In the end the Christ did what needed to be done. I have so much more I'd like to say, but this is long enough.
Blessed Be

Read the genology of Adam... he was a son of God. But the first man Adam was mortal... the second man Jesus became immortal....and much greater.
Being "formed" from dust, or being born of a virgin does not make a Son of God. There is physical DNA and spiritual DNA, what's born of flesh is flesh, what's born of spirit is spirit. That's why Jesus said:"You must be born again". You must obtain the DNA of Jesus. His spirit must be infused with your spirit and a new creature is formed.
As usual, organized religion gets it wrong and makes "born again" an instant "give your heart to the Lord" and "your wallet to the church" kind of experience. The birth process is first conception, then gestation, and then actual birth. Jesus demostrated that it is possible for all flesh to become spirit. He is living proof that it can be done.
God gave us many proofs in nature to show us the process. For example, to the caterpillar it's the end, to the butterfly it's the beginning. God loves us and there's not a darn thing we can do about it.

Good question. But the difference is the origin. See first of all...we ALL come from God. But Jesus was called the Son of God because he was born directly from/of th Holy Spirit. That is..the spirit of God.
Adam was made from the dust of the earth. Big AND significant difference.
1 Corinthians 15:45
45 Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].
and also
21 For since it was through a man that death came into the world, it is also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead has come.
22For just as [because of their [a]union of nature] in Adam all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in Christ be made alive.
If Adam did it right the first time...Christ wouldn't have had to come and "re-do" what was supposed to be initially done by man in accordance with the way God would have Him to live.
I don't really see how Adam could be greater when through him the world was brought under a curse.
It seems like a no brainer here. Christ won this battle...(once and for all...:)
I read what superfoot said and after he recognized God's Child...I have to give God's Child an A+ also....he was really on point with that. But superfoot's expounding on that furthermore was superb. God bless them both. :) !

No, Adam is not greater than The Lord Jesus Christ.
The bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son (capital "S") of God.
The bible teaches that Adam was a creation of God, formed from the dust of the earth. God breathed life into his nostrils and he became a living being.
The bible teaches that ALL of us, like Adam, have the right to "become" the sons (lower case "s") of God. (By the way, the word "sons" includes both males and females).
The bible teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ is unique, that He is 100% God and 100% human all at the same time. Since Jesus Christ is God, as the Holy Scriptures declare, He has always existed and is not a created being like Adam was. Adam is therefore a servant of God, and Jesus Christ Himself said, "A servant is not greater than his master."
I just read what "God's child" wrote. That is so simple and to the point. I wish I had said that too. I will only add that the term "first-born" does not mean that Jesus had a beginning, it means that He is pre-eminent over all creation. The scriptures teach that ALL things were created by Him, through Him, and for Him. The bible also teaches that ALL things consist in Him. He is the "glue" that is holding ALL things together! Good job "God's child"!!

Actually Jesus was the first man and all men were modeled after him. God does not see things in sequence like we do, He is not bound by time so He sees everything that has ever happened at the same time. This is also evident in the style in which the bible was written. As opposed to the linear style of today, the ancient authors of the bible used a circular style of writing, circling around their subject until the details of the story and the subject became one, moving closer and closer as they wrote. If we look at Jesus in the same respect everything circled around him. Adam just happens to be on the side that, to us, comes first, but Jesus is in the center.
Also, Jesus was eternally begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Adam was made out of clay.

Jesus came straight from God. Where does a child get his blood type from? Jesus got his sinless blood from his heavenly father? Sin was passed from gneration to generation through the blood. The bible says that "The life of all flesh is in the blood".We were born with the sin nature because of Adam. You don't have to teach a child how to sin, but how not to sin.

Wow! Good question! I know the differences between how each was made, but still, you have a point of them both being created 'directly' by God. And a lot will argue that we are all sons and daughters of God. But why say he is the greater man? Because straight from God and no "go-between"? This deserves an answer from a seminary student or someone 'higher' up. I hope you get a lot of debatable answers. My guess is Jesus is the 'higher' man because God gave him to the world with a purpose; to suffer for man's sins, die for us, rose again, so that we may have everlasting life. (John 3:16). I'll be reading the answers; you should have a lot of good ones.

Going with flow here, Jesus is the son of God and Adam is his creation.
But on the other hand, how do you know that Jesus didn't have a father? Wasn't Mary married to Joseph? Maybe she cheated on him? How do we know? No historian mentions Jesus during his (Jesus's) life time. The first writings about a Jesus do not occur for about 70 years after his supposed death. And please don't quote the Josepheus forgery.

Jesus is greater as he is the Son of God - the first born in spirit and the Only Begotten in the flesh. He is greater in that He, and He alone was the only one capable of carrying out the Atonement for all mankind. Because of His Atonement, all people will be resurrected, and those who obey His gospel will receive the gift of eternal life with God.
Adam and, in fact, all human beings—male and female—are children of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents.
