My son got two mosquitoe bites and they always look like welts. The doctor says the one looks infected, but they always look like welts. How did a mosquitoe bite get infected. Could he also have a allrigic rection to them, he's been vomiting and a low grade fever.

He has seen the doctor not mine cause she was full. They got him on Amoxicillin and Tebanmide for the infection and vomiting. This is the thrid day now and is still sick. The bite's alway's look like that before. ( I'm taking him to see HIS doctor 11:20 today to double check.) I don't see how this mosquitoe bite is causeing vomiting and a fever though

He could have over itched them and caused the skin to open. My son has the same problem, but he is allergic to them as well so I use benadryl as soon as I see them to help with the swelling, allergy and itching.
