Has ragweed season come into full bloom yet in the western part of Missouri?
The pollen sites say we have been med-high for pollen, but gawd you need a masters degree in horticulture to figure out which ragweed we have, etc.
I have always suffered severly from ragweed but have not shown symptoms yet...I am wondering if the steroid shot I got last season has changed my immune system (I know it did this spring, I never used to get contact dermititis from cats, but did this spring) or, if the season just hasn't started yet because of weather conditions.
Any and all input is much welcome THANKS

I don't take over the counter drugs, I can't stand taking drugs. I do eat fairly healthy, a lot of veggies and fruits and that is all I drink is water. Red meat...no way in hell am I giving that up. I don't eat a lot of pork, but once in awhile.
I take an organic vitamin that has improved my health 150% in the past 3 years.
I have been eating local honey for the past 5 years and it hasn't done sh*it.
Steroids for me is like chemo for someone with Cancer, it beats the heck out of the alternative.
I only do it once a year, I will not do it any more than twice a year, but once seems to be working.

Some people are allergic to honey; it can make them very sick. I am in Indiana. I used to be housebound during ragweed season. The only thing that really helped me was allergy desensitation shots. I'm not having any problem this year. It has been over five years since I discontinued my allergy shots.

Don't take medications for allergies! Take a teaspoon of LOCAL honey each day. Your ragweed allergy will GO AWAY, naturally. The honey will help your body develop immunity to any and all air born irritants around you. This is a 100% natural CURE for your problem. Like all herbal remedies, it will take a while to work but it will be worth it. You will also notice that you get less colds and flu symptoms and your overall health will be better. presription or over the counter medications can harm your body by dehydrating your cells. This could be a big problem as far as long range damage goes. Be careful, you only have one body and when it gets old, the things you did earlier on in life will come back to haunt you.

Since you live in a large agricultural area perhaps you should learn to change your diet. Stop eating red meat and pork, eat more fresh vegetables and fresh fruits, stop eating junk foods, drink organic fruit juices and drink 6 to 8 bottles of fresh pure water every day. I did that and about a month and a half later I discovered that I no longer have allergies to anything. Maybe it will work for you too. When you eat healthier, it changes your system so that it is stronger. No more over the counter drugs or doctor's prescriptions, no more spending a lot of money on stuff that just puts off the allergies, but doesn't heal them. Try it, it is cheaper and in the long run you will always be healthier.
