Unfortunately, the 'Muslim Jesus' is NOT the same as the Christian Jesus. Islam has distorted the Biblical Jesus and denies his divinity and his resurrection. Because of that, it is impossible for Muslims to understand why Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and why there is no other way to God except through him. Christians do not follow a man, a mere prophet, neither do they accept that Jesus was a Muslim and pointing the way to Allah. Until Muslims check out the Jesus of the Bible, they will never begin to understand him.
What is our point in trying to convince Muslims that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life? Why, because we are concerned for your everlasting souls - we want to share the good news of the gospel message with you. Our motives are pure - we can't keep such good news to ourselves!

From an Islamic perspective, I understand the point you are making. Messengers provide a message that shows the way, shows the truth, guides you to and through life.
However, this is not what Christians mean when they quote this passage.
Jesus' death on the cross (and yes, that did happen) was a salvific death - a death he died so that others might live everlasting.
That is what Christians try to say when referring to this passage. Jesus is the doorway; not because of the guiding words he brought (such as Mohammad providing the Islamic revelation of the Quran) - but in the saving action of dying for the sins of many.
It is in this - in action, and not solely words - that we assert that he is the way, truth, and life.
Peace be with you.

"Muhammad was sent, he again said something similar, and since he is Allah's final Messenger, it is he that should be followed. "
Well, there is some fine logic!!! LOL
OH my, it all makes total sense now, mohammed said the same thing as a bunch of other dead guys who thought they could talk to god.
Do I care? Not really.

LOL. Muhammad was not the prophet of God of Abraham. He just chose the Bible to validate his message. Final prophet, no way that pedophile would be a Lord's messenger. He basically made Allah to back up all his bad deeds...taking his son's wife and marrying a child, taking slaves...using them for his sexual perversion...he is self claimed prophet.
Muhammad confirmed the Bible, he just made some convenient changes to validate his outrageous claims.
Jeus is the way. He is our Savior. But with your free will you can deny Him.

Christians believe Jesus (pbuh) is God, God being the Father and Jesus (pbuh) being the Son. This describes TWO different levels of Divinity; one above the other which concludes to faith in two gods. Islam teaches that there is but One God and as it should be. Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God, not God himself. Jesus (P) didn't demand to be worshiped but instead made it known that He was a messenger of God...the Way to Truth and Life.

The tomb is empty....Christ arose...
The prophets are listed in the Bible.....the tests of the prophets is in Deuteronomy.....
Mohamed does not pass the test....
we are told and chose to follow Christ...for what reason would a person turn their back on the risen savior and follow Mohamed????
salvation is only through Christ.....following anything else is turning away from the cross ......
we are told there will be many false prophets and teachers which indicates that there will be true ones also.....the test of the prophets will separate the sheep from the goats...

No offense, but Muhammad was not the final messenger, nor *any* messenger, of the one true God. I know this because the true God has no use for propaganda, totalitarianism, and fascism--the usual methods of Islam--to work His divine purposes on earth. Therefore, I believe the purpose of Islam is not to worship God, but to impose total [human] control on the population.
People who serve God don't use the devil's tools.

If Jesus truly is God and the only way to salvation, then it is an important point.
the scripture continues, " no one comes to the Father except through me".
More important point..the question is, then, is this what you believe, and if it is, you are bound to tell others about it.
