lately i have seen a lot media coverage on the Criminal acts of illegals. They are many times caught by law officials in many cases released to continue breaking the law. I find it Ironic,. that a known criminal especially an illegal..can be given the same rights as an American citizen...shouldnt they be deported as soon as they are found to be in the USA illegally?...and sent to prision in their own country?...what part of illegal dont these law officials understand?.

Why should they have any regard for our American way of life, they have already proved they have no regard for the law when they broke it by coming here illegally.

Immigration used to be an issue of people wanting to come here to be a part of our great nation. They would go through the proper channels and then do what they could be become total Americans.

Immigrants now just want to get here anyway they can, legal or not and just use the free welfare programs we offer. They could care less about becoming American. (I'm not saying all, I know there are some that are still going the long legal way).
I seems we now take better care of illegal immigrants than we do our own people.
I say legal or not, as soon as they commit the FIRST crime, deport them
As far as I'm concerned the word "illegal" is a dead give-a-way.

That depends on what state you reside in and if they have the been given leave to notify the local INS office of proof of invalid documentation. Also, if the police department has been trained on how to report such people.
Here in North Carolina and South Carolina, our police department has been told that all people that have greencards or visas need to be validated by contacting the INS offices. If they do not then they must have their Social Security number traced to prove validity or proof of natural born status by legal birth certificate and will stay in jail until such proof can be determined. If nothing is available to validate them as legally living in US then they will go before superior court to argue the validity of their status or be deported or may get an extention to get the proof they need.
The people that complain about "so many illegals" causing crime but yet the majority of people in our prison system is mostly African American with a small percentage of whites then a very small percentage of other nationalities.
You need to speak to your Government for your state to reform your laws of processes when it comes to legal or illegal criminals. The ones I see most of the time on here that complain constantly but do nothing are people from California, Texas, Missouri, Michigan, and Alabamans, but yet they still have not changed the way they do things.
Oh, btw, the only time you hear of a possible "illegal" alien doing something illegal is when they sensationalize it. In other words....
"A man in downtown Charlotte was gunned down Saturday evening while arguing with his ex wife by her father. He is in stable conditon at the local Hospital"
"A Hispanic man was shot in downtown Charlotte by the father of his ex wife, an arguement had escelated- said local by standers - when the ex wifes father pulled a gun and he shot the Hispanic man in the chest. It is believed that he is in stabel condition at the local hospital, legal status of either the Hispanic man or the Father has not been determined if they are in the US illegally at this time. More of this story at 11"
Now, what is news and what is sensationalized news?

No they don't unless it serves them. The statue of Liberty is an old statue, would you regard a Roman statue with an inscription on it as fitting for today's world? We never once said send us your uneducated, trouble making masses and please, do it illegally!! It's like the world expects the UK and America to take care of all of them. They all hate whites but yet where do they run to, governments that were organized and put in place by, you guessed it, whites! We have finally gotten to a place in our history where all Americans are valued and in come the illegals, all their crime, their hate and envy, and all of their disrespect. Jealousy is the only thing I can see here, it's not racial, it's legalalities that these invaders refuse to abide by and it's legally that we will deport them . No more throwing them a bone for being able to cross the damn desert!

First we must realize that immigrants come to this country everyday from more places then Mexico, and many stay illegally in the attempt to make a better life for themselves then would be possible in there own country.

This country is what it is today because of immigrants. Unless you are an American Indian, your ancestors come from another country and they were at some point immigrants.

One of the things that made America great is that it was founded by and open to anyone seeking to make a better life for themselves.

(1) Bring us your tired your poor your huddled masses.

The American way of life is to offer those seeking a better way of life a chance to find it.

The real issue is that in this time we no longer have the resources to make good on the offer of a better life for all those who seek it. Jobs, housing, and food are in shorting supply. In response to this issue some people immigrant and resident alike turn to crime. Some out of greed some just to get buy.

The short answer to your question is they come for the promise of the American way of life, only to find that America is not able to make good on its best intentions.

We must examine what has happened over the years and hoe the world is a much different place then it was when this country was formed. .

The greatest issue is the population. There are more people alive in the world in this century than all the people who have lived through out all of known history. We must think of the stress that puts on the world.

Trying to provide living space, food, and jobs a Herculean task.

Our personal sensibilities tell us it is inhuman to think of controlling reproduction but the time may come when we have no choice.

Next are the issues of national security. When this country was founded armies fought wars. It would have taken a large invasion force to do real damage to any country. The idea that a single man with a suitcase could destroy a city, or that a man with something as small as a bottle of water could carry enough poisons or viruses to wipe out large populations was SciFi.

Today these are realities that must be taken into consideration.

There are other more selfish reasons as well. The sons and daughters of the immigrants of the past who now have established there fortunes in this country and call it there own, are not willing to share the wealth they have established, and I am not sure that they should have to. After all it is theirs.

We are a fat and lazy country and we have fought hard for the right to be just that. On average we spend more money then another country in the world, and there in lies our power. Other countries need us to continue to things we really don’t need to satisfy our hunger for stuff we don’t need, and I am not sure we are wrong for doing so. We have fought long and hard and we deserve to enjoy the fruit of our victories.

We pay sports heroes millions of dollars they use to buy vacations and big houses and over priced trinkets, while we ignore the homeless and starving in our streets. We pay bonus to Government officials of amounts more then most people make in a year for failing to do their job.

Case in point the man in charge on the VA just stepped down because it was determined that during his time in that office the services the VA offered had drastically fallen in quality and availability in spite of funds being allocated. But he and his associates received $30,000.00 yearly bonus. That’s way more then I make in a year. I think that’s ok too. They found there way much like the criminals do.

What I do think is wrong is that we are so hypocritical. Let’s be honest about who we are, and what we stand for.

Our country is one of a divided people; we are losing our identity and our sense of community. More and More we become self-absorbed the computer and the Internet serve to divide us even more.

This is a good question, one that I hope a lot of people read and answer. It is something we should think about because it goes along way to establishing who we are as a people and a country.

What the law officials understand is overcrowded jails and prisons, overworked and overwhelmed Immigration services, and the constant threat and possibility of ridiculous, time consuming and costly lawsuits filed against them for violating some illegal's "rights". Don't blame law enforcement. Blame our insipid, blind, non-confrontational politicians who will not close our borders, fund and support border patrol, remove all "freebies" bolstering the illegals, or enact swift and inarguable deportation of any illegal discovered within our borders. Who voted to give illegals free health care, free schooling for their children, free benefits intended for OUR citizens? Who voted to make our teachers learn their language so they can teach illegal children? I didn't. Did you?

The Prime Minister in England has said that all illegals who are sent to prison will be deported as soon as they have served their sentence....problem is it is not working...one convict is saying it "goes against his human rights". Forget the fact he murdered a school teacher.
They (Government) are trying to appeal the decision so they can throw in him out of England.

Just look at the Korean that brutally shot and killed 32 of our Americans. Mabey if we were'nt so PC and ultra tolarant this would not have happened.
Will we ever learn that PC and ultra- tolarantce will be the end of the U.S.A. as we once knew it ?
At least he killed himself - like the coward that he is - right up to the end. I see the parants did a good job rasing this nut job.

Hey....if my tax dollars were spent catching illegals and putting them behind bars, and having them taste a little "OZ' (old HBO series) I would be happy! But if we caught them and simply deport them, it would come across as not punishing criminals, and since the Mexican gov't will not punish them on our behalf, then I don't see a way around it.

Mass immigration combined with a welfare state ensures a constant invasion from the third world.
