I would say it would have to be at night, or in the early morning. My favourite place is still the altar.

Sitting in my living room on the couch on Saturday
and Sunday mornings, when I have more time to
pray and before anyone else gets up - at sunrise.
I also have more time to read the word then.

At night I'm usually too beat. In the morning I'm usually too groggy.

My favorite place is in the back room where the computer is, when I can snatch an hour or 2 of quiet time in the early afternoon. James and my step-daughter know I'm in there and don't disturb me, and I'm awake and alert enough to focus fully on listening to whatever the Holy Spirit might say to me for an hour or so.

In the early morning after breakfast when everyone has left for work and school....no interruptions. I take my phone off the hook and sit on my bed so I have lots of room for my Bibles, notebook, concordance and whatever else. I love to compare translations and look up words and really dig deep. I talk out loud to God before and during my whole study. I get so excited when He shows me something new....that I HAVE to write it down to share with someone else! I think He smiles and loves to show me things.

Ephesians 6:18
By means of all prayer and petition, praying at EVERYTIME IN SPIRIT and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints.

I do believer brother Friday that we need to have a particular time to pray like Daniel did in the old testament. I truly believe that because Daniel had a set time to come before the Lord to pray for God's interest and what was on God's heart regarding His people that God had a dependable means to carry out His purpose.

We also see some healthy patterns that all elude to the Morning being the best time to pray
ABRAHAM
Gen 19:27
And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord
Whatever your place is to pray.. early in the morning is best:)

JACOB
Gen 28:18-19
And Jacob rose up early in the morning and took the stone that he has put for his pillows and set it up for a pillar and poured oil upon the top of it.And he called the name of that place Bethel"
Bethel means House of God.. and GOd's house is a house of prayer
We see other names Moses, Joshua, Job, Jeremiah,Gideon, Samuel, David and our Lord Jesus also rose up early to steal away to be with the Father while it was still dark out.

Prayer is truly a means to remain in the Lord's presence. To be able to be touched by Him concerning yourself, and others and most of all what is on His heart. We are God's people carrying out His purpose on the earth and our prayers are the tracks and the stepping stones for God to move and usher in His Will. " Prayer is to God what tracks are to trains"
May we all be given to pray.
Satan attacks this matter of prayer and knows the power of it once believers start praying. May the Lord continue to break through in us where we are those calling upon His name at anytime in anyplace.
1Cor 1:2
To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, the Called saints WITH THOSE WHO CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN EVERY PLACE WHO IS THEIRS AND OURS!

I think the early morning hours are the best. Although I tend to talk to God all day. I do find the morning extra special because the day has yet to begin. I love to go out onto my back deck and have a moment to sit and to focus for the day. I choose to focus on God and His will for me for the day. . .for me it is the best way to start out. : )

My favorite time and place to pray is anytime during the day (randomly) outside on my trampoline or in my woods, where I can just sit, by myself, and pray.
