I rent a room from a family and none of them flush the toilet when they are done.

they are probably accustom to out houses,
maybe you should build them one in the back yard.
put up a sign,
but be polite,

yes i hate it when so one uses the toilet and do'nt flush; little kids does it a lot and i can live with it but not coming from an adult. that is plain un sanitary . most people that does that they are not used of a inside toilet or they just don' t care.

Sorry to sound gross but...
Do they just pee? Or is it after doing #2 as well?
If its when they just pee, and there is nothing or just a little bit of toilet paper, they are conserving. I would not be too bothered by this.
If it is when they do #2, that is awfully rude and I would say something about it. Especially if it ends up clogging the toilet up.
You should really talk to them about it, maybe they are not used to having a roommate.

If it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down.
A mantra for areas suffering from drought. An unbelievable amount of clean water is flushed down our toilets every day.
But yes, it can be gross.

Yes, I hate it, but it happens to all of us at some time or another. Phone calls, door bells, crying babies, injured children......all reasons a person might get in a hurry and forget to flush.
