Type O blood means that you have no antigens for A or B on your blood cells. You can give blood to anyone, but only recieve it from others with type O blood.

The positive means that you test positive for the Rh antigen. If your wife (if you have one) has negative, and she has had positive introduced to her blood stream, she will need to take medicine, or her body will attack and abort a positive fetus.

Lots of Native American tribes have large amounts of type O blood. In Europe, it is assumed that many royal families have type O, or "royal blood"

O+ means that you are a universal donar. You can give blood to more people without their rejecting it.

According to this chart.
Navajo (N. Am. Indian) 73 have type 0
27 have type A

Negative blood is more rare because many women and children died in childbirth in the past because of it and it wasn't passed on.

I too am an O+. My father was an O-. My mother was an O+ and all three of us children were O+.

Almost 40% of all people have the O blood type so it's not, by itself, an indicator of Native American ancestry.

It means that you are a universal donor to anyone with + blood. You cannot donate to anyone with an Rh factor -. O+ is the universal donor for Rh+ blood, O- is the universal donor for all blood (+ or -)
