If yes, what brings peace into your life? If no, what will it take to happen in your life to bring you peace? Personally, I'm at peace. I've fought my own spiritual demons and lived to talk about it. What happened in my past has made me a stronger person, and I'm thankful that I've gained this strength. What is your story, if you have one?

I will not find true peace for many years yet, though I like to think I am relatively at peace compared to many.

Similar to you, I have gained much from my past (most notably here on Answers), yet I am not yet fully rid of my ills.

When I no longer experience hate, greed, ignorance and intolerance, that's when I will be at peace with myself.

I understand that this might not happen in this life, but I will continue my journey, and hope that my enemies within will be defeated.

Yes, I am at peace w/ my life. . .my successes and my failures I have found peace in my Savior.

Everyday peace comes from my Savior and knowing that my children are well taken care of and happy. My children always bring me peace and happiness.

Every trial in my life has only made me stronger. I have not only survived but I have tasted victory. There is always something to learn and something to gain from hard times if you choose to take what you can from it and rise above it . . .it is always a choice.

Yes and no. I found peace when I came to Islam. It seriously saved my life. I was heading down a really bad path. As for the no, I am currently suffering from major depression and anxiety. But though God and modern medicine I am finding the help I need to get my peace back.

Whenever I hear someone say something like that, I can't help but scoff. People are so rarely "at peace" for anything but the short term, and are usually kidding themselves by telling themself otherwise. By saying so out loud, however, I am usually convinced that they do not even have "peace" of mind enough to settle for their own self-assurance, they need to tell the world! Well, obviously I am not....I need some time....

Yes
My kids bring me peace...well most of the time. My husband, also a most of the time. My family, my faith, my friend. In all honestly I am pretty at peace with my life. I went through hell to get there, but I'm doing ok.

Sometimes, I feel that I have committed too much sins, uncountable that makes me feel like I am the most wretched person on earth.
Yet, when I pray, and make supplication to Allah S.W.T, I feel a bit light afterwards and my mind is cleared.
It becomes clearer when I hear reciters of the Qur'an recite beautifully, or when I read the Qur'an.

Sometimes, I find nature as a comfort to me. People today are too busy with their lives to appreciate the beauty of this world. When I look at rivers, mountains, I feel grateful that I am living till today to appreciate what Allah S.W.T has given me.

May Allah S.W.T guide us all.

Why not share your story how you fought your own spiritual demons and make peace with yourself ?

It depends on the moment and situation I am in.

I struggle with giving God everything, including the stress moments in my life. So if I do follow through, yes I am at peace, when I take my eyes off Him, I totally sink and drown.

Yes I'm at peace because of my father. My father told me how to be at peace with everything.
