The seats are a cloth material that are water resistant in order to make it easier to clean. The floors are rubber material for the same reason.
The windshield will be more suseptable to cracks due to the almost verticle angle. That will be a concern for you if you purchase.
Takes regular unleaded and the epa rating on it is 16 city and 22 highway

Its hard to compare the 2 first off the FJ Cruiser compares more with an Xterra. The Murano is more of a luxuary SUV and is built on a car chassis (aka Maxima chassis) and the Xterra and FJ Cruiser are built on a Truck chassis. The Murano is by far a better vehicle since all the standard features you get are just awesome such as CVT transmission, dual climate control, and its FWD. The FJ is more of a rugged SUV not a luxuary SUV get the FJ if you plan to go offroad.

The interior is plastic for ease of cleaning, the windshield angle doesn't help with deflecting rocks, but it still takes significant force to break. It takes regular fuel at 16 mpg / 20 mpg for AT.

Look at a Jeep Wrangler,it has true 4 doors not suicide doors, cost less, has better resale and gas mileage is the same as FJ.The interior of all cars are plastic, but this is the first time I heard someone complain about a Toyota's interior being plastic.Usually Toyota lovers say the GM,Ford and Chrysler's interior are made of cheap plastic, they don't know that the same companies that make interior parts for Toyota's and Honda's make interior parts for GM,Ford and Chrysler's.

rebel you need to go to the dealer & check it out yourself. the plastic is there because like the xterra it's considered sporty to be water resistant. ok if you think it looks cheap then whatever. all suvs have glass with less angle to them, american or japanese. it's not a sports sedan. the gas. expect average to be city #s on the sticker...what is it about 17mpg
I would just be concerned about space in the back seat. if you care check out the redesigned highlander

well, they are among the best off road vehicles, and they won't crumple like jeep in an accident. up to you though. And frankly, I don't see any problems with a toyota truck, the chinese are trying to kill us not japan.

To be honest. I have never trusted a Japenese truck. They have wonderful cars and engines, but I don't trust the trucks.
The truck looks so strange!
If you want a nice truck, get a Jeep or a Chevrolet!!
