"in god we trust" a US slogan.

This offenden some Atheist, and they wanted their government to change that slogan. They fail, but I see how this is an insult for Atheists.

Imagine, you would have written "there is no god"
see how this would insult the believers.

Thats why in some bars the bar owners has the politic:
- don't talk about sport
- don't talk about politic
- don't talk about religion

there, you always have 2 or more parites, fighting each other.

Yes, in the early 1950's the US government added the slogan "In God We Trust" to our paper money to compensate for the "Communist Red Threat". The right wingers thought this could work to rally Americans against Communism and Atheism....Apparently it worked..Don't let it bother you, it is just a political slogan.
