Now for those of you who would say Jesus, and thats fine He is mine too, think of someone else. I would say my Grandpa, he is a man after I see Him as a man after God's own heart.

My Mom.
She raised me, my brother and sister.
ALONE.
Worked three jobs.
Sent us to good private schools.
I'm a nurse, my brother is a doc, my sis is a property mananger.
Without Mom, I wouldn't have a clue about independence, work ethic or true unconditional love.

I don't really have one I guess right now. I used to when I first started nursing. There was this nurse..in her 20's...her name was Gwen. She did not profess to be a Christian..but I admired her more than any other nurse I have ever seen! She was not a fast worker and many days had overtime....but this was what I saw. She would sit down in the patient's rooms...all of her patients and REALLY talk to them. She took their personal laundry home to wash. She would wash their hair with the real shampoo and water no matter how difficult it was. She would come in before her shift to bring them some little thing. She would always be so cheerful to everyone..no matter how hard the day was going. She would comb through their charts and find really interesting things to share with the other nurses. She would volunteer to help another nurse with something even when she was behind in her work herself. She would work a couple of weeks and then be in the hospital herself a couple of weeks getting blood transfusions...she was terminally ill herself and died the next year. She, to me, was a Christian in action. I will NEVER forget her.

Depends on the role I am in at the moment. As a daughter - in - law I model after Ruth and Naomi. When I become a busy little bee, I follow the role models of Mary and Martha.

When I was trying to get pregnant and the doctors said it wasn't going to happen, I took the attitudes of Abraham and Sarah.

When I need to fight giants, I look to David. (naturally I assume you understand I do not mean literal giants, just giant things happening in my life).

Oh, if you mean people outside the Bible, then the women in my life who have had powerful influence on how I view life would be both my grandmothers and my own mom. One granny was a dairy farmers wife with 8 kids and the other granny was widowed during the Depression with 5 kids and no money.

My mom, the most profound of all role models, has taught me how to love others, how to live uprightly and how to die with dignity.

I like your questions brother friday.. they are very simple and direct:)
I was also going to say my Big Brother the Lord Jesus and in a way He will always be my best role model... but there are many men and women who have truly touched my life and heart deeply. I'd have to say that brother would be Witness Lee. He lived unto the Lord and truly had a heart for all of his brothers and sisters throughtout the whole world.
This brother died at the age of 92 and has touched the lives of so many because we truly saw through his life and living NOT I BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME.

Here are some free spiritually sound deep books available online as a way to further nourish and supply all the brothers and sisters

My cousin Jack. He dropped out of school at a young age, was an Insurance salesman, Mortgage Banker, Real Estate Broker and ran his own Real Estate school.

He established in my mind you don't need education, just the will to do things.

My singing teacher/inspiration who died in March. She made me believe that an singing career (opera) was well within my reach (I was 28 when she told me this). No one until that time had ever given me that kind of direct message about my voice.

My mom. (I am so lame.)

She and I are such different people when it comes to our opinions on politics and religion, but she is hands down the strongest person I know. I wish I had half her strength, integrity, and trustworthiness.
