I recently installed a newer version xp updated till June 2007... atleast thrice , but try as i much...., whenever i restart my pc..., i have to keep pressing F8 in order to select from 2 working windows... one saying Windows xp and the other showing as Windows xp pro updated 2007. I then have to manually select the 2007 version in order to run it. I tried re-installing , upgrading and even a clean hard install...., but get the same problem every time.. In case i don't manually select which os i have to boot from....,the system just doesn't start and hangs..
Any advice ...tech guys... PLs do let me know as to how i can get it to boot automatically from the selected version. As far as i can judge/...., both of them must be installed in c drive only... BUt how i don't kno.. PLs help

when you do a clean install make sure you delete all partions then do a full format then install the os you want on the hard drive.

Another way is to put that hard drive in another computer running windows xp then start to the windows in the other computer. Right click my computer and go to manage then go to disk management and formatt your hard drive then put it back in your computer and do a fresh install that will get rid of the boot screen.

The only way I aware of to make it work and work right is to Partition the hard drive C and make a E Drive or an F drive and place the other operating system on it.
2 XP's on the same drive will not work correctly as you have found out.
