Ethnocentrism presupposes that the entire world is the same and that we all have the same values, that is, what works in UK, will work in, say, Iraq. It doesn't.

Ethnocentrism means not liking people who are of a different culture or nationality (nice word for being a bloody racist). When we chase ligitimate criminals to Asia, the Middle East, or even France for that matter, they may not help us because first they don't like us, and second they will automatically side with the person from their own country. Hope that helps.
PS: There are many murderers and rapists in many countries that the countries won't extradite here, often because the country does not have the death penalty and we do.

I don't think it hinders the fight against international crime, I think it just won't work because different countries have different laws...

Also extradite treaties prevent criminals from being sent to the country where they committed a crime if the death penalty maybe put upon them!

It's a very broad subject!

Yes most certainly! When one group due to its beliefs refuses to take on board the beliefs of another due to there false belief that they are superior it brings an impossible situation.
