It appears that buying OEM software from portals such as trustmarketig.net or ellsworthband.com is cheaper than buying from retail stores. I do understand I may not get support or upgrades but just wanted to know if this is genuine software that I am buying and if it is legal to buy this.

NO PROBLEM Contrary to what you have been told these applications will upgrade, you can purchase manuals and yes they are in violation of the EULA but SO WHAT. Whenever you can put it to a thug like Bill Gates do it!

If you don't get upgrades or support it's definitely not legal software. Besides you may be buying just SP2 not Windows XP. Also legit Windows software has a unique hologram on it & you will need the the Key Code numbers to register your software. If your looking to save money Look on craigslist or ebay for unopened unused Xp software. Good Luck

Stop and think aboput what you just asked.
If you bought a HIGH DOLLAR software like Photoshop CS and you just got the disk and no paperwork and were not able to update, or upgrade it why would you spend your money.
In my opinion this is just another of the many thousand scams out there, Many originating from foreign countries to dup the stupid Americans.
Believe that most folks get in the neighborhood of 10 of these scam e-mails a week.
