You do not have to do any of things to be a Christian. A Christian is one who accepted Jesus as the Son of the Living God. At that time their sins are forgiven. The gift is free, no work is needed to obtain eternal life. It is not of when the messenger came, it a matter 0f who the message came from. Those things you describe even heathens do, read the Bible, Read the books of Mark and John first. And see if you understand better what Christianity is all about. There is a difference between a religion( such as Islam) and a relationship that is real and from the heart.(With Jesus).

Christians do not believe that Jesus was a "messenger", but that He is part of the trinity of God and came here to die and resurrect and thereby atone for our sins. That's really the biggest difference between us. Christians tithe, but it's not necessary to get to heaven. I never read anything in the Bible about the environment. Our daily lives within our faith are actually quite different from Islam and Judaism, very few requirements. We eat what we want, drink what we want, most of us dress the way we want, etc. All in all, a pretty free-wheeling belief system. Also, I understand from this site that Muslims are forbidden to sing, listen to singing or music, and they have some food restrictions. All of us three try to do our best, of course, and most of us are sincere in our beliefs.

Mohammed PBUH, the Prophet of Islam said" Like me and other prophets is like a man who built a very nice house and people used to say "look how nice and beuatiful is this house, except a small hole in the wall. If it is put the house will be perfect. I am that brick which fills that hole.
Christianity and Judism are divine relegions where Allah SWT sent Jesus, PBUH, to guide people at his time to the right way, before him was Moses PBUH who was sent for the same reason but each of them was sent to his people only.
Relegions complete each other, and each prophet came added something. Until the prophet Mohammed came who have completed every thing left.
So there are prophets following each other except Mohammed PBUH who was the last prophet.
So some of the differences are:
Islam's prophet PBUH is the last prohet although Jesus PBUH will come down from heavens in the future but he will be a muslim and he is not a new pophet.
Islam believes in all prophets and you can read in the Quran that any muslim who disbelieves in any prophet is considered unfaithful and not a muslim any more.
Islam praises all prophets and you can find the name of other prohets in the quran much more than the name of Mohammed PBUH, like Moses and Jesus PBUT.
Islam's book : the Quran is the same as the one that was revealed upon Mohammed 1428 years ago.. and there are very old copies of the quran that you can compare with the recent copies.
The quran is not destorted as I mentioned but the other books like the Bible and the Torah are destorted and you can never find a 100 year old copy of the holy books that resembles the recent books rather than the very old copies of them because they are written way after the death of the prophets, while the Quran was written while the prophet Mohammed PBUH was still alive.
Islam talks about every thin g in life, how to : eat, walk, talk, laugh, treat people, pray, fast, and even how to go to the bathroom.
Islam is for all the people in the world and in all eras not only for a special tribe or special people.
The main miracle of Islam is the Quran which will be a miracle in all times, while the miracle of other prophets are only for thier times.
Read the Quran and you'll find many scientific facts that was not known at the prophet Mohammed's era and they are discovered afterwards.
Islam says that no body carries the sins of another person. Every one is responsible of his own deeds, either good or bad. So every one will be judged alone in the last day. But if someone guides a person to good deeds he'll be rewarded and if he guides him to bad deeds he'll be punished but the other will be punished also because what he did.
Pillars of Islam are: Faith, Prayer, Zakaat, Fasting (Ramadan), Hajj Pilgrimage
This what came to my mind right now and I advise any one who wants to know more to go to some good sites like:
www.islamonline.net, and read the Quran with good interpretation of it.

There are a lot of similarities between these three monotheistic religions. Another similarity is that all of them profess to be THE one and ONLY true religion.
One of the key differences between Islam and Christianity is how one attains eternal salvation. Muslims (followers of Islam) believe that a person will be judged at the end of their life based on the amount of good they did vs. the amount of evil. If there's more good than evil, they gain salvation. If there's more evil than good, they gain eternal punishment. However, this scale is not used if you are killed in a holy war, or Jihad. If you are killed in Jihad, you immediately go to eternal paradise without being judged for good or evil. There are some radical muslim extremist mullahs (spiritual leaders) who are using this teaching, and convincing their followers that the terrorist actions against the west are actually a holy war. When one understands what's going on, it becomes easy to see why kids are signing up to do suicide bombings.
Christianity, on the other hand, teaches that all people will be judged according to their deeds, but anyone who has ever violated a single law of God will be condemned to eternal punishment. So pretty much everyone has lost. But Christianity teaches that out of love for us, God sent Jesus to redeem us and atone for our sins, so that at that final judgment, we will be judged blameless because of Jesus.
The primary difference: In Islam, a person's eternal fate depends on their own action. In Christianity, a person's eternal fate depends on their faith in the actions and accomplishments of Jesus Christ.
I didn't address Judaism here. Judaism, according to Christians (of which I am one), was the one true religion up until the time of Christ. Eternal salavation was attained by believing God's promise that He would send a savior, a messiah, a redeemer, a deliverer. Now, Judaism is still awaiting that Messiah, even though Christians believe the Messiah came 2,000 years ago.

From my limited understanding, they differ in more than "which messenger."
From a Christ-focused point of view, I see that the biggest difference is we differ in our beliefs regarding Jesus. Judaism and Islam both see Him as a prophet...Christians see Him as Messiah, Savior.
When you consider the common link to Abraham...Judaism through Isaac, Islam through Ishmael...Christians believe we are "grafted" or adopted into the lineage of David through Jesus...at times I can't help but think that an over-simplification of the strife between our faiths is "Dad likes me better."
Christians should never forget that God promised to make Ishmael a great nation through his twelve sons as well.
Does that mean I think all faiths are equal in the eyes of God? Does it mean I don't think Jesus was the complete sacrifice for the redemption of man? No. It just means I think there's more to this picture than we can see and comprehend at this time.

Allah says, in the Holy Qur'an, of the Christians and the Jews:
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)
[98:5] And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.
--The Holy Qur'an, surah 98 (Al-Baiyina, or The Clear Evidence), verse 5.

They differ both in salvation and around Jesus.
The non-Christian Jews think Jesus was a false prophet.
Chrisitans believe he was the son of God.
Muslims believe he was a prophet but all revelation of him has been lost except that which was manufactured in the Quran.
Jews and Muslims are both works/righteousness salvation oriented. You do enough good, you get saved. Christians believe in grace through the sacrifce of Jesus.

Your understanding of Christianity is utterly wrong.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."
Christianity is not focused on a set of 'teachings' but rather upon the very person of Jesus Christ, the 'God-man' who died to pay the penalty for our sins.
It is very, very different than the religions of Judaism and Islam.

Islam respects all the Prophets of G-d (on them be peace) and Muslims worship the One and Only G-d: Allah subhana wa ta'ala (Glorious and Exalted is He).
Judaism is essentially monotheistic. However, the most of them boast the fabrication of their being a 'chosen people' of G-d. And they don't recognise all the Prophets of G-d (on them be peace) since they don't recognise Prophet Muhammad (salalahu alaihi wa salam).
The larger part of Christendom makes a mixture of G-d, accepts the fabrication by the Jews who said they had crucified Jesus (alaihi salam). And they don't recognise all the Prophets of G-d (on them be peace) since they don't recognise Prophet Muhammad (salalahu alaihi wa salam).
Salam.
