Eyes Wide Open asks: Why do we dream during the night (and day)? Why does neural activity during dreaming behave so unusual? Where do dreams happen? Can you fit a whole alternative reality into your head? And why does so much of the brain seem to do nothing? Why is so much of the human genome unaccounted for? Why is the gods hypothesis such a universal explanation for the unexplainable? What's in the other 8 dimensions of space?
Eyes Wide Open suggests: Humans are fully aware of the three basic space dimensions as well as partially aware of a time dimension. What if day and night dreams take place in another dimension? An information dimension which also possesses it's own 4 basic spacetime dimensions which we are awre of? If this were the case then understanding consciousness from the perspective of our basic timespace dimension would be problematic. The information could account for subatomic connection and the superposition of particles as well as shared global ideas and everything

There's a lot more than this but I can only retain so much. Eyes Wide Open is the one who understands Applied Theoretical Physics, I'm not entirely sure if I even spelled that right even. So don't blame me if I got some things wrong. Anywho, Ciao!

We're all off to help Eyes Wide Open write his latest book about why cursing is a higher form of language. From what I've read it's very compelling. But hey, what the **** do I know right?

Awww. thanks SSejychan. Maybe we'll return after this book has been finished with. Although Chris (Eyes Wide Open) is also thinking of another one to do with an information dimension now so... who knows?

Interesting thoughts but... I'm not sure that neural activity is "unusual" during dreams, at least I have not heard that in any of the research I've seen. As for brain activity, the concept that we only use 10% of our brains is a total and complete fallacy, granted specific parts are used when specific activities are preformed i.e. solving a complex spatial problem involves different regions of your brain than if you're singing a song.
Deities/spirits would seem to be a "natural" explanation for things that we can not explain or control. It's not a "universal" explanation just a world wide one, and if you actually study various religions through out time they have many more differences than similarities such as some have spirits and not all powerful deities.
I'm unaware that the number of dimensions was limited to 11, I recall that there was an article talking about 237 dimensions in math.... while it is interesting to speculate that dreams occur in another dimension, I'd be hesitant to give it much more credence until some justification was given.

"Why does neural activity during dreaming behave so unusual"
And you base this on?
"And why does so much of the brain seem to do nothing"
again, nonsense.
"Why is so much of the human genome unaccounted"
it's all mapped, we just haven't figured out what it all does. And the genome is not a cake recipe, one set of genes can control a lot of bits and pieces.
"Why is the gods hypothesis such a universal explanation for the unexplainable"
ignorance.
"What if day and night dreams take place in another dimension"
what if purple fluffy bunnies secretly rule the world?
The whole last bit of your question convinced me you guys should lay off the weed.

Being raised Roman Catholic yet going to public college and seeing different techniques and evaluations contained in the international I too have my eyes opened. What I as quickly as theory replaced into the "in basic terms faith and way" has me thinking two times. Now i think God judges hearts, no longer guy-made social dogma and opinion. So confident i could actual thank others for establishing my eyes and making me see a extra fact accessible (that i'm nevertheless finding). = ) marvelous question.

Does this mean that you are several different identities? I'm not understanding what this means, I'm sorry. We have very little time on this earth so be happy with what you have now as it could be gone in 5 minutes. Namaste
