The bible also says the value of pi is exactly three.

And that rabbits chew their cud.

And that bats are a type of bird.

Sound like a reputable source for information to you?

Hi!

Now, it is about time that all this rubbish about dinosaurs been alive with man, 4000 years or so, was stopped!

We 'know' for 'sure' that dinosaurs died out 65,0000 years ago, because of an impact from a meteor, that cooled the Earth, so making life impossible for them.

The Ark of Noah, is an earlier story, by another civilisation, who did not believe in the deity, that jews, christians and muslims, believe in today!

It is also 'very' obvious, that the Noah's Ark story, could 'not' have happened on a world basis.

If people want to carry on believing these myths and false propaganda, then so be it, 'but' i must tell you now, that it is not the truth, anyone searching for 'truth', will 'not' find it, in the realms of fantasy, from 'any' of the religions!!!

A mixture of half truths, belief and 'faith', does 'not' make it true!

Tested theories and Facts, make proof and therefore truths!!

You can thumbs down, as much as you want on this one, it will 'not' stop 'this' being the truth!!!!

It doesn't really matter what Noah did. If the entire Earth flooded (from where exactly) Then the only way the water could have subsided is through evaporation, in which case you would either have a green house effect like Venus and the entire planet would have been uninhabitable for thousands of years, or the opposite and you'd have a planet which was in essence a giant snowball in space. Noah could not have survived whether he was on an arc or not.

I believe anyone who takes such a story literally should seek immediate help!

The ark could have been like the Tardis, bigger on the inside than the out, or God magically shrunk everything to fit but dinosaur's DNA prevented the magic working on them, or Noah had a deep seated fear of giant reptiles and asked God to hurry up the evolutionary process so they all turned into birds, or he only only took in paper cut outs of everything bar dino's so their symbolic representations survived but couldn't draw dinosaurs and then magically turned into real animals once they landed.

All depends how big your imagination is.

It isn't even close to possible that he could take the 2 million species of land animals alive today. The math on the 3 species of elephants and enough food is more weight than the largest wooden ship we ever built could carry.

Since 98% of species that we have identified are extinct, basically you are taking something that is impossible and multiplying it by 50.

FYI: A single Braceosaur weighed about 12X what any single elephant weighed. Good luck with that.

Let us not assume the Hebrew 'kind' means 'species.' It may just as well have meant 'genus,' or 'family' as we think of it in our own taxonomy. That would greatly limit the number of creatures taken. Two 'deer kind', two 'rodent kind' two 'lizard kind' etc.

Secondly for the obfuscations of Rev Soleil: The Hebrews did not care much for precise calculations. The Bible never says 'exactly' three for pi at all, as you should very well know. It simply states it was some 30 cubits AROUND the rim of the brazen sea, and 10 cubuts across. Now the cubit being measured by the length of the individual craftsman's forearm WAS liable to vary some, wouldn't you expect? Come come, my boy, be realistic here! So how can you get an 'exact' figure for pi, from an INEXACT standard of measurement.

Secondly the Hebrew word translated as 'hare' by the King James translators (and followed suit by most versions since) is a word we don't know. King James translators felt a necessity to translate it with SOMETHING we know, and for some strange reason chose 'hare.' But we actually do not know what animal is referred to by the Hebrew word. some have suggested the Mountain Hyrax, but I don't think they chew a cud either.....

Thirdly, it is a similar situation with the word translated 'bat.' The Hebrew word is just 'flying thing' and we do not know what sort of 'flying thing' was intended in the original text.

Do spend at least a teeny tiny amount of time at research my boy, BEFORE you post such pseudo intellectual drivel.

Well some kind of dragon made it on the ark because in the 1600's they were still fighting fire breathing dragons. In Umboi Island, Papua New Guinea, today, they have seen Pterodactyls.

If they were around by then. If not, perhaps they died in the flood and none exist. (But Im sure they wouldve found tons of fossils right in a flood layer in that case)

Dinosaurs extinct millions of years before the mathematical creation date? All science suggests that Man and dinosaurs didn't co-exist.

According to the Bible they didn't exist so they didn't need to be carried to salvation.

So it comes down to a choice really believe the literal or believe the concept.

Of course, the assumption is Noah only took mature animals...and not hatchlings.

but then again...I'm sure that was thought of before asking the question, right?

given the measurements in the bible, no. Noah would need to allow for more room, the ark was crowded as it was!!
