Is this another attempt at "Tragic Typo's"?
Or did you mean that "baptizing [is] a thing of the PAST" and that it is "still IMPORTANT TODAY"?
This is why it's so important to stay in school, kids....

Babtizing is not a thing of the pasT and it is very impoRtant. In fact its so impoRtant that it is a requirment. Its not something we can blow off, God's day of destruction is approaching quickly so we need to symbolize our dedication and love for God by being immersed in water Babtism and be washed clean of our sins. But of course even tho we are babtized it doesn't mean that we can still live a sinful life we need to make it our goal to please God and do everything we can to stay close to him. The end is near, "praise Jehovah you people!" "Through one man sin entered into the world" so Jesus gave his life as a ransom sacrifice so we could be forgiven for our sins but we need to show that we appreciate this by being babtized!!!

Baptism is as important as giving birth. It brings renewal to the soul of the baptized and prepares the person for greater blessings in his or her life. Baptism is not impotent as you might suggest because the rebirth of every person is important in the sight of God and man.

Jesus did it, his reason was, "To fulfill all righteousness"
What bible says about baptism:
1-Mark 16:15,16 - "He Who Believes and Is Baptized Will Be Saved."
Man says; He who believes is saved and may then be baptized.
bible says; "He Who Believes and Is Baptized Will Be Saved
2-Acts 2:38 - "Repent and Be Baptized for Remission of Sins"
Are sins forgiven (remitted) before baptism or as a result of it? Note that the purpose of baptism is clearly stated: it is for remission of sins.Consider the people to whom Peter was speaking.
If "for" means "because they already had remission," then Peter must have been talking to saved people. Was he?
He had just convicted them of the sin of killing Jesus (v36), and they were pricked in heart and asked what to do (v37). They did not already have remission, but stood in need of receiving it.
Peter then told them to "repent." If they already had remission, why did they need to repent? The command to repent proves these people were not already saved, but were still sinners needing to receive remission.
3-Acts 22:16 - Be Baptized and Wash away Your Sins
4-1 Peter 3:21 - Baptism saves us.
5-Galatians 3:27 - We are baptized into Christ.
6-Romans 6:3 - We are baptized into Jesus' death.

Definitely impotent to the receiver.
Although the doer may make some money out of it.

Baptism will not save you. Baptism has it's place, just like the church has it's place but your salvation comes from you faith in Jesus and repenting of our sins.

you mean, BAPTISM, a thing in the past?????or it is still IMPORTANT today???????
If this is it, then my answer is, as a catholic, BAPTISM is important, not just in the past, but today and in the future, as this becomes part of an important rite we celebrate in the Church we call the SACRAMENTS.
