For 4 days, I had leg soreness on the inside of my right leg, right above my knee. It was just sore like I had strained or pulled a muscle. Yesterday that pain was gone, but it had moved down into my calf almost directly below the original spot of pain. I can see a large vein through my skin, and it seems like the pain is just moving down that vein. Has anyone heard of this before? What is it/what should I do?

You likely have a blood clot. The reason why I think this is because clots are common in the leg, and move. That is why your pain moved. This is very bad. You need to get to the doctor fast. If you fail to do so, you clot could get stuck in your leg, cutting off oxygen and nutrients to the cells, tissues, and muscles in your leg. You could actually loose your leg over this. It is called an infarction. This blood clot can travel to your lungs, causing something called a pulmonary embolism. This is where a clot gets stuck in your lungs, stopping the blood flow. It could also move to your heart, and even into your brain. All of these conditions are life threatening. Call your doctor immediatly.

I don't think the drama is necessary, from above. If the pain was travelling up you leg it would be cause for that much concern. It has been four days or 5 days do you remember doing anything strenuous last week. The muscles behind the vein could be inflamed. Go get it checked out but don't be scared we are not here to terrify you.

It might be a functional case of painful developing pains esp because your age and the truth that your frame is in overdrive developing correct now. The different choice is whats referred to as 'Restless Leg Syndrome' that is tremendously painful and it could provide an explanation for your signs. I undergo this situation and I by and large have got to stand up for an hour or so after which try to return to mattress. U r no longer on my own and it's not all for your head.

I agree with Labguy and his opinion, you need to see your medical doctor soon as possible. This could be serious and it's not something you can put off. You need to get to the doctor immediately.
