My tailbone was hurt twice now when delivering and I was wondering whether or not anyone else has experienced this and how they corrected it or got over it? I want number 3 but do not want to have to sit on my side again for 6mths or have a c-section because of it although a c-section is probably a quicker recovery than this.

BTW, 1st baby 9pd, 2nd baby 8pd2oz and both delivered half laying down?
In your opinion would squatting or standing be a better delivery option for this type of injury?

i would drink a ton of milk or take supplements to try and strengthen it, i have hurt my tailbone during delivery and it healed up in about 3 weeks some people are different and it takes longer guess it depends on the size of the baby and difficulty of delivery, my doc had to practically pull out my last child who was 8 adn a half lbs! so needless to say, that was the cause of of the prob. i also had my tubes tied adn was on medicine for about a week so i really didnt notice the pain there until i ran outta meds,lol...it happens, but with a c section and i know several people who have had them the recovery time and scars arent worth it in my opinion, you have to take extra care of the c sec wound or you could rupture it and cause more trouble, xtra care and meds and not to mention a more visable scar, with a c section the after care is a real B....you have to be very careful about getting out of bed, etc, if you think about it there is more bending and movement in your lower abdomen then what you realize and you really have to be cautious moving around after that operation, in any event, best wishes and take care!....Hotma...i would try sqautting or possibly a tub delivery, it will make your body lighter or maybe pillows under your fanny, ask the doc what your options are and ask him what he thinks given your situation, good luck!

My friend broke her tailbone while delivering in December and it still hurts her. I guess it just depends on how bad you break it or injure your tailbone. I would talk to your DR about the problem Everyones body is made differently so you may just have to work with the problem.
