Here's a link to the earlier question:

There's a general consensus here of around age 12, but I'm not certain what the larger group of Y!A contributors think, so I'm putting this one to a vote.

Age 12.

Children have a sense of right and wrong, at an early age. Everyone is different. God measures the heart.

The idea of right and wrong progresses to the point that the child understands how their right and wrong actions affect others. After they understand this, at some mystical point in their lives, they start to understand guilt, and making things right with others.

From what I've seen, soon after, they get the idea of sin very clearly.

_________
Edit: Oh, you want an actual age? I'll have to go with 6 years and 4 months, maybe 3 months. Depends on their birth order, and of course, if they were born in the summer or winter (everyone knows spring and fall don't count).

I really don't think that you can put an exact age and say for every child it is the same! I think it depends on the child. My oldest is 7 years old and has been raised in a Christian home with me and my husband. In being raised to know what is right and wrong she knows that wrong is sin. When I say wrong, for example...she knows the differance between telling the truth and telling a lie. She knows that lieing is wrong, she understands that concept. She also knows, as we have taught her that Jesus Christ came to earth to save us from our own sinful nature...the thing that makes it easy to do what is wrong... and that we need Him to help us every moment of our lives to be able to choose to do what is right!
My 5 year old and my three year old get the concept, not to the point that my eldest does but they understand that Jesus came to earth to die for their sins so that they could talk to Him on a regular basis and have a relationship with Him.
So it deffinately depends on the child and as they grow older they understand more. And it also depends on their upbringing. If they are 13 and have never heard anything like this before it might not all make sense, versus if they were raised with God being the center of the home it makes more sense probably a little earlier in life.
A child as early as 8 months or so will know right from wrong. That is why when my 8 month old would crawl to the outlet and want to touch it they would look at me to see if I was watching and slowly put out the hand to touch it and to see it I would say anything. They know that touching that is wrong... a no no... but they want to try it anyway....tis our sinful nature.

That's a good question. Some kids mature faster than other kids, so it's really hard to say. I guess age really wouldn't matter if you understand the concept between right from wrong, and know there is either a benefit or consequence for every action.

That depends much on the child's development and the parents ability to recognize at what age your child fully understands the nature of what is good and what is bad. At Matt 28:19&20 it says to
"Go therefore and teach all the nations the things I have taught you " So is your child able to understand what is being taught and is he able to teach others what he has learned.

What was Jesus tailking about? He was spreading the good news of Gods comming Kingdom.
What was that Kingdom Government going to do for the earth?
When is it going to come ?
Who is going to be King of that Government?
Whats going to happen to all these human governmemts once Gods Kingdom takes over ? Dan 2:44
Whats the earth going to be like after Gods Kingdom takes over?
What is the future prospects for the earth?
Rev 21:3,4
So questions and answers like these he has to understand. If you would like the answers to all these questions I would be happy to send you a New Bible and aid that will help you answer these questions,
Sincerely yours,
