My eyes are half open when I sleep, so my eyes are dried out when I wake up. My eye doctor had me use this eye gel before going to sleep, plus use an eyemask, but they don't help. My eyes open up underneath the mask and still dry out. Only TAPING MY EYES SHUT works. I don't wanna do that!

Does anyone know of an eyemask that will PRESS my eyes shut so I can wake up without dried out eyes? I don't wanna tape my eyes shut.

Ok... so far I have a bunch of people who think I'm a freak, and a little bit of advice, none of which directly answers my question. Please... I'm looking for something that will press down on my eyelids at night; that is my only question.

I don't think the mask is for you dryness I think its for you sleep, when your eyes are open or you eyelids are thin as with some people light even though it doesn't wake you up will mess with your brain wave patterns and cause lighter levels of sleep.

I use a Tempur Pedic eye mask from Brookstone its awesome.

I didn't think it was possible to sleep with your eyes open. I mean, the opening of your eye would actually have to be looking at the eyelid or else the light would continually be sending signals to your brain and prevent you from going into REM sleep. Anyways, I wouldn't want to tape my eyes shut either. I would talk to your doctor again...hopefully he/she can give you something that works.
