I like caviar...well it wasn't exactly caviar but it was something with fish eggs...on sushi. Yum. I've also had raw salmon (with sushi) which was good and pig, only right off the whole pig, at a luau, which was also good but now I feel grossed out by that. And I've had dried squid, which is good, and cooked (but not dried) squid, which isn't. Also when I was little I would eat plain ants, which were tasteless.

Anybody ever eaten Nato? I love it, but most people won't touch it with a ten foot pole, as it is fermented soy beans, but they're fermented to the point where the beans are in a snot like brown sticky substance. Traditionally it is mixed with raw quail eggs, hot mustard , green onions, and fish sauce. My family loves it. But I've never seen any other americans eating it.

In my family, we had eel with our Christmas Eve meal and I love caviar.
The strangest thing I have eaten was chocolate covered bumble bees. To be honest, they were good. They were like eating a Nestle crunch bar!

i attempted a chocolate-coated ant (fairly solid, actual!) whilst i grew to become right into a toddler. i've got had squid (oh God grew to become into it chewy and destructive) in Hong Kong. I ate a tiny little style of horse meat as quickly as to attempt it, and interior the highschool cafeteria on a dare i attempted slightly canine biscuit. It grew to become into the fashion on the time to tutor you have been courageous adequate to chunk a canine biscuit, and the lads could eat the entire element, with relish.

They used to have a "gormet" store here in Baltimore.
They had chocolate covered ants and bees, canned snake and bear meat. The ants and bees werent too bad but the canned meat was horrible

Your tastes change as you get older. I used to hate brie, caviar and raw oysters now I love them

Tried and liked: eel, caviar, raw fish, tripe, oxtail.
Won't go near: bugs, chicken feet, testicles.
Wierdest: Whale in Norway. (red meat, think gamey steak)
Want to try: Live baby squid (Korean cuisine)

Moose meat :) Turned out my brother's life-threateningly allergic, so my parents always got a kick out of putting down "moose" on allergy forms.

Eel - I'm with you there. Especially the tiny squiggly ones - like a plate of spaghetti. Only eel - ew! :P

Would have to be horse. I didn't know it was horse... this was when I was studying abroad in Japan. I was sitting in a sashimi restaurant with a few other students I had met... they were getting a kick out of trying to find out what I wouldn't eat. I flat out refused to eat whale meat based on moral issues - but I told them I don't have any problems with anything else. (That was a mistake.) They ordered "uma" horse... omg I wanted to puke... it doesn't even taste that great to me - but it might be because I was so repulsed when I found out. One of the J-guy's had invited his sister and she said it was her favorite food. I politely declined to eat more. I ate a lot of rice that night - I couldn't eat any other meat I kept having thoughts of someone's pet horse being chopped up.
