92-100% is normal. If in the 80's then oxygen will be required and anything lower than that without a heart defect can be dangerous. The PaO2 that the other contributor is talking about is measure by actually taking a sample of your blood from your artery. The percentage that I think you are asking about is a pulse oximetry or SpO2

I am on oxygen all the time but my tube fell off when I was asleep. My oxygen was 45. This happens a lot.Usually it is in the 70s. If I lye real still for 20 minutes,I can get it up to ninety. I am always pumping 10 liters pm. I have interstitial pneuminites for 5 years

Hai My lv is about 5 but they still wont give me the injections the pills worked for awail but im still very sick i eat very high iron based food like beatroot and :# (liver) bleh ! And nothing happens meat a little bloody helps me feel a little better but not much I was wondering if blood contains a lot of iron and if u take a recomended dose could that help with very bad cases of anemia that my theary though correct me if im wrong

if your iron and hemoglobin levels are abnormal u might have anemia Anemia is the condition of having less than the normal number of red blood cells or less than the normal quantity of hemoglobin in the blood. The oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood is, therefore, decreased. you might want to see a doctor i hope i helped!

When I went to the ER in February for an exacerbation of my COPD, I could hardly breathe, and my oxygen level was 64. I was near respiratory failure.

when i had pneumonia and went to hospital my oxygen levels were 86% - 88% and they had me on oxygen, nebulisers, chest physio and IV antibiotics so i guess anything below about 94% is dangerous.

Normal is 98-100%. Anything below 95 would need addressing. Anything below 90 is serious.

Normal pO2 is 70-100 mm Hg (10-13.3 kPa). Values below 60 may require immediate action and possibly mechanical ventillation.
