I have read the technical reference manual and I am 100% sure that I followed all of its instructions. (Yes! even the floppy disk thing...) I already partitioned the SATA HDD and loaded the XP setup and it automatically restarts the pc... but at the "loading of XP" screen part... the loading bar stops at the middle and a "Stop Error Screen" appears. What do you think is the cause? Please help me.. thank you.

when i insert the floppy and the pc detects it, the pc recognizes the XP RAID in the floppy as newer than the RAID driver already in the package...

I think that the setup program did not correctly copy over the files that XP needs. XP with Service Pack 2 should be able to handle almost all SATA drive / controllers. If you think that this is the problem, though, most BIOSes have an option for "legacy" on SATA drives. This means that the BIOS pretends that the drive is a regular IDE drive.

But honestly, I think the problem was in copying files over. Check that the disc is not dirty or damaged.

Early in the XP installation, you will see a on the spot on the backside of the blue exhibit asking you to press F6 in case you opt to place in RAID or different disk drivers. Assuming you have downloaded the drivers on your SATA controller and copied them to a Floppy, press F6 at this element and the XP installation will pull the SATA drivers from the floppy and use them from that element on. stable success!

Make sure the SATA is the C: Drive.
Put in the XP cd and boot off it.

YOU Don't need to install a driver for SATA drives, just skip that bit and keep installing just like it was a IDE drive. You only need drivers from a floopy for RAID.

check the floppy disk/try to get the driver from the mother board driver CD for the SATA fucntion. All most it is the problem with the software of the floppy. may be corrupted.
