I was diagnosed with Raynaud's about a year ago and I have the opportunity to go snow skiing this winter. I know its dangerous being out in extreme cold. but I just want to know if anyone has found a way to enjoy extreme cold weather without experincing the symptoms of Raynaud's. Please let me know if theres anything out there that will keep my hands and feet warm enough to enjoy the snow.

A down jacket and covered overalls with Thinsulate socks and mittens on the outside. Cuddle duds on the inside. Your choice of responsible clothes in between.

Ski on the hills closest to the cabin. Don't take the more challenging hills if you want fun and be safe.

Check with your doctor / or ring an alpine doctor (at the ski resort) - before you go. My local doctor used to be based at an alpine resort & has a lot of alpine experience.

If you have a mild case... then it would be ok if you take the obvious precautions with covering skin (ie. thermals and so on.), stay close to accomodation where you can warm back up via thermal blankets, and check out where the closest medical centre is. They should be able to provide oxygen if needed (higher altitude = less oxygen).

And dont catch a cold (pseudoephedrine is no good for you). And most of all - ENJOY THE SNOW!

Ask your doctor about it.
