No, it actually makes the problem worse.

Smoking causes, among other things, an increase in stomach acid production, so if you are prone to heartburn, smoking can make it worse instead of better. I know more than one person who was able to either change or get off of heartburn medication once they were able to quite smoking.

Best of luck. I don't get heartburn very often, but it sure is miserable when I do!

Just the opposite. Smoking is a major factor in causing heartburn.

yes.... it helps in increasing heartburn. in fact, its one of the main causes of heartburn in smokers.

it does help i've read this before but if ur a non-smoker dont try it try maalox or pepto bismol
