There are several things you can do. There are throat sprays out on the market that can help reduce storing. Also, trying wear a breath right strip when you sleep. That's what they were originally designed for.
If those don't work, you may have what is called sleep apnea. This is where a person will stop breathing momentarily while they are asleep, and snoring is one of the big side effects of it. If the nasal spray and the strips don't take care of it, see a doctor and get tested for sleep apnea.

My ex-partner was horrendous with snoring, quite often i would go and sleep on the sofa just to get some peace - even then i could still hear him but i would put tv on low so that it was a distraction from the racket he made. We tried those strips that go over the nose, herbal tablets, everything. In the end i contacted a lady who i buy aromatherapy oils from and we made up a concoction to put on the pillow and the top of the quilt. You need to get advice from an aromatherapist because you have to take into consideration any health problems, allergies etc. It didnt cure the snoring completely, but lessened it by about 90% which was fine by me. Also, i would go to bed before him so that i was in a deep sleep when he started!

Almost all treatment for snoring revolves around clearing the blockage in the breathing passage. This is the reason snorers are advised to lose weight (to stop fat from pressing on the throat), to stop smoking (smoking weakens and clogs the throat), and to sleep on their side (to prevent the tongue from blocking the throat).
Specially made dental appliances such as a mandibular advancement splint, which advance the lower jaw slightly, and thereby pull the tongue forward, are a preferred mode of treatment for social snoring.
Devices such as nose clips can dilate the nostrils and other devices can alter jaw mechanics to keep the jaw in an optimum position.
If all of those can't help, sleep in different room,
Good luck.

Drastic but simple is to saw a tennisball into the back of your nightdress. That will keep you from sleeping on your back and make you snore less. If you sleep in the nude you have to try something else but do not tape an apple to your back in case your friends gets hungry...

Put a pillow behind your back whilst u sleep so u dont roll on to yr back and so the kick of yr girlfriend wont hurt yr back. And whilst u r about it and tell yr girlfriend to pack it in kicking u in the back, that is not what loves about.

You probably have sleep apnea. Refer to the web for definition and what to do.
I snore as well. My b/f and I both use ear plugs when needed. I keep them on the night stand.

I would strongly advise asking your gp to refer you to a specialist as it coould be a sign of real respiratory failure, take that from someone who is now on oxygen 24 hours a day! Good Luck
