Beef. Most places use canadain produced beef.
Although it depends on what type of restaraunt you ate it at.
Mcdonalds and Burger king used to use only 100% canadain beef, but they might not still do that.
By the sounds of it you ate either a veggie burger, or the restaraunt you got it from mixed some vegetables into the meat for flavour.

The same ground beef as in th USA. In fact Canada gets a great deal of processed beef from US packers. Especially fast food. Canada produces many cattle that are processed here.

I don't care. It tastes great. It's better than the mystery meat served to GIs around the world as salisbury steak or a veal cutlet. I swear it's the same meat.

mostly the premade burgers are beef. there is also veggie burgers, chicken burgers, bison burgers and I'm sure there's more . just can't think of them

since there are alot of deers in canada I would say top notch place would use elk or deer regular would be beef
