Sounds like your parents are trying to look out for you and to make sure that you're safe. Perhaps you can show them how responsible you are by:

1. Taking a girlfriend along that is reliable and can get you home safely if necessary.
2. Establishing a curfew well within their guidelines.
3. Providing the telephone number of your friends parents that are giving the party(s).
4. Tell them you'll check in with them after an hour, just to reassure them you're ok.
5. Make sure you get home ok and on time!
6. Create a backup plan for problem areas such as, what if the party gets out of hand, what if your designated driver isn't available, what if you drink? Etc.

Your folks sound like decent people that do trust and love you very much. Its hard for parents to let their little girls grow up and move into young adulthood. Its helpful if you can reassure them by developing ground rules they will feel comfortable with and impressed that you came up with on your own. Now, the real rub is, if you're not into drinking or "partying hearty" like your co-horts, how come you're going? Perhaps you should be talking to your parents about having a party at your house with all your friends so that they can get to know them.

ok well im a full time party girl Ive been to all types of parties clubs house parties anything!
first tell you parents you ll be with a good group of friends! tell them who and give as much phone numbers as possible!
yea drunk and druggy people are a lil rude and stuff like that but if your going to an 18th party probably dont have to worry much about stuff happenin like bad!
then tell them the hour they want you back be sure to come back exactly at the tome they say theyll think your more responsible that way they increase hours later.. :)
if they dont call you you call them!
really the best thing is negotiate really good and make sure they think your really safe!

I'm a parent of 3 grown kids and if they went to a party and there was drinking involved I would trust them. What comes into play here is responsibilty.Ask your parents to see if there will be other adults there. As for me I have no problems cause I trusted my kids.

Obey your parents. Its there house and rules.
Go away and if you don't get caught you may feel guilty.
You may have a drink.
You never know what will happen.
Is it worth loosing your parents trust and being grounded.
